We were recommended to eat here by our hotel and were not disappointed. First class inventive French cooking and excellent value for EU 29 for three courses ( plus 2 delicious extra "amuse-bouches") Free coffee and friendly staff who appreciated our efforts to speak French but were happy to translate as necessary. Lovely position beside the river.

Food quality mixed, I enjoyed the pork with smoked eggplant but that was about it. Strange bar, odd hotel. Not sure i would go there even if staying in the hotel.

We went last week to Chamonix and we have been very fortunate to eat at Le café de l'Arve. All of their dishes and wine are "local" i.e. coming from less than an hour away. Despite or maybe because of this, the food tasted absolutely great and the wines that came with it were equally excellent (especially a bottle of... More

A bib gourmand restaurant. Lunch for 2 table d'hote, midweek. Restaurant warm and inviting. Menu not too inspirational. Cold meats appetizer just cut charcouterie, nothing else. Good mushroom soop inter. Mains very tasty, full flavors. Only one proprietor serving 6 occupied tables made it too slow.

The €17 fixed price lunch (main and dessert) was wonderful value. We returned two days later for a more expensive dinner (€ 55 per person for three courses and a bottle of wine). The service is classical and very attentive. We also ate at the Petite Kitchen, which is rated no. 1 on tripadvisor. My wife preferred the Petite Kitchen;... More

The cuisine is absolutely delicious; The chef uses local products, changes the menu depending on what is available, the food always has a little twist that you won't find anywhere else, and the pricing is also very good. Service is also nice. Only down part, the atmosphere could be improved...

Excellent specialties from the region, for lunch and dinner. Very reasonable prices. Try the Menu des trois Vallées (4-5 courses, 35 euro). Nicely matching wine arrangement. Very friendly people. Modern, stylish interior, very attentive service, but yet quite informal. Close to the centre, but not at a main street (so tourist traps would survive there). This is the restaurant of... More
