Great Birthday meal! £68 for 2 (3 courses) including a bottle of wine

There are so many restaurants in Chamonix, but this one looked really looked welcoming. We had a table for 2 in the window and at 6.30pm there were a few other tables free but they had to turn people away at 7.30pm on wards. Friendly staff, warm wood & chalet style décor, nice cheese dishes, onion soup comforting with bubbling beaufort & comte cheeses, nice steak/duck & homemade chips, delicious puddings, wine by the glass. Good portions, and not too expensive by Cham standards. Menus on helpful website.

This is a quaint family owned restaurant. Excellent choice of menu at affordable prices. Staff are very pleasant & nothing is too much trouble. This was my second time visiting this restaurant in Chamonix & each time it has bee fully booked which I feel speaks volumes.

Just average food that I feel is overpriced. Might be that overall price range is relatively high in Chamonix. But still there are better places at that price

We managed to get in here as a large group on a Friday night and found the whole experience excellent. We choose from the various set menus which were very good value for money with plenty of choice. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly and service was good also. Got nothing negative to say..

We had lunch here on a lovely clear day, we were attracted by the look outside and the menu prices seemed reasonable for the area. It was well decorated inside , warm & cosy and toilets were clean & fresh. Lunch for 3, with salad & beers came to 54 euros - we took CHF as we had come over... More

Ate here for lunch one afternoon and was thoroughly impressed. Location: Perfect location- can sit out on the deck in the sun looking at the mountains, beautifully decorated inside. Staff: Staff were friendly and pleasant. Food & Drink: Had the 'cheese on toast' with a small side salad and a Mount Blanc Beer- perfect! Decent size portions, delicious and reasonable-ish... More

This was the king of place that you go to eat and once, it staves off that bottomless hunger only ever felt whilst skiing, but you don't go back. Typical Savoiarde fare, but done better elsewhere, service was friendly and swift, but way too hot in the restaurant to be comfortable whilst consuming red wine and cheese! French onion soup... Place was very cute and staff was very polite. I know that only one dish can't represent the whole menu but the fondue was not what we expected. Having tried several fondues, this one was like its ingredients had separated - half was cheesy goodness and half was a light yellow liquid. We tried to mix it several times but... More

Having read the previous reviews we were keen to try this little restaurant close to our hotel (the prieure) for local quality food. We followed recommendations and had the Pinot noir which was light and a good price compared to other restaurants at 23e. Had the set menu at 22.5e and couldn't even fit the sweet in as so full!...
