Coffee? Absolutely. And then some

Looking for lunch with the family. Decent coffee would be nice too. Small, independent place well reviewed on TA...let's give it a whirl. A hole in the wall, this place. Yummy looking salads in the bain marie. A proper (proper) espresso machine. Lookin' good. If I'm honest, the menu was a... read more

By far the best coffee in Chamonix and they even serve a Flat White! The staff are friendly and speak both French and English too. They make delicious curries, salads, sandwiches, soups and biscuits. The only downside is that they are a 'take away' place only and they are not open on Sundays.

What would we do without Papillon's healthy, tasty and fresh takeouts? Perfect for days when you've got down off the mountain late and can't be bothered to cook, or for providing homecooked style dinner for friends without actually cooking. I love the Thai green curry, or a big spicy noodle pot. Salads also amazing. Always very sad when Papillon closes... More

This is our go-to spot whenever we visit Chamonix. We grabbed dinner from this little take-away spot every second night, because, let's face it, after a day skiing or snow-boarding, the last thing you want to do is to cook or head out to a restaurant. This little place specialises in alternatives to the usual Savoyard restaurants: great bean salads,... More

Went here based on tripadvisor reviews. Food was made fresh in front and with such attention to detail! Would recommend to anyone!

Ate here in February this year. Or I should say had take away. The food was fresh and taste ok but nothing you couldn't do yourself. The portion sizes were poor. Me and my partner had to go back out of our apartment after having a curry to get something else to fill us up. And the BIG noodle is... More

Following the advice from fellow TripAdvisors we went here for a coffee on our last day in Chamonix. We weren't disappointed! We can't comment on the food, but it all looked really delicious and very fresh.

I have been there twice. The first time as a trial, the second time because I was happy to return. Curries are tasty and although I thought they were initially small, I ended up struggling to finish. The noodles are great and double as a nice warm drink after a cold day on the slopes. Coffee is the best in... More

We had been travelling for Europe for 3 weeks and completely missing our flat whites. After reading a review that Papillon made a great coffee for Aussies travelling we rushed there and weren't disappointed. The coffee was great as were the noodles. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick an efficient. This is a definite must do... More

Papillon is the best takeaway restaurant ever. Being a celiac it is always hard to find somewhere to eat. My husband & I loved it. There food is fresh & delicious. Definitely a must have if you are staying in Chamonix.
