For anyone visiting Chamonix, the Annapurna restaurant is a must-visit destination. The food they offer is really delicious and is illustrative of the uniqueness of traditional indian cuisine. The magnificient view of the Mont Blanc at sunset together with the perfect setting contributed by rich background music and the proper interior decor that immediately makes you experience the marvelous wonders... Annapurna is by far the best Indian restaurant in Chamonix. We visited from India and after 2 weeks in France and Switzerland we were longing for some authentic Indian food. We found the food at Annapurna to be highly authentic, tasty and reasonably priced. The restaurant is run by an Indian family and the service was extremely friendly. They even... More

The food tasted like the one i get in india...although there are many pakistani restaurants around but they dont do the justice with the dishes they prepare,,,moreover its very hygenic and i have heard they also won some PRIZE for their chef's speciality... must try.

Chamonix does appear to be a pretty expensive town but i thought that my chicken curry with rice was well over-priced for what we were served, although the chicken was tasty. We weren't very impressed with the veggie curry - some shrivelled frozen peas with potatoes with rice for Euro12 and with beers at a fiver it isn't going to... More

Located on the main street heading out of town, Annapurna is an authentic Indian run by Indians. Food is tasty and quick, but the portions were very small and the prices far far too high. 1.50 for EACH poppadom! 12 euro for a curry. Portions of rice also too small. Only to be recommended If money is not a problem... More

Sorry to the foregoing reviewers. We eat a lot of indian food and cook alot of indian food. Let me tell you the food in this restaurant may be a lot of things but it isn't indian. Poor standard throughout, They use a very salty base sauce into which they amalgamate various powdered spices. We went there wanting to like... More

We have been to Camonix several times and always end up eating at Annapurna most of the time. Excellent food, great service and very reasonable prices. Love the atmosphere!

On our last day of our trip the Annapurna re-opened/opened, the only thing that can be said about this small cosy restaurant is GO THERE! The food was second to none, possibly the freshest Indian food I have ever had, the prices are reasonable for Chamonix and the staff are multi lingual and very friendly. From all of the restaurants... More
