Alfred's restaurant with enormous portions.

This place is definitely not somewhere to have a starter. Some of the dishes that were served to our group would quite easily fed three hungry man (and I am a hungry man)! I thought the food quality was reasonable but certainly not high cusine. This place had a nice atmosphere and I would go back... read more

We are repeat customers to this brasserie to soak up the traditional (cheese) options. Quality is reliable, feels less touristy than a lot of the other places, staff very friendly. Good choice for the usual raclette etc and the French onion soup also good. Carafes of house wine v good value - rosé was good.

We went to this restaurant while attempting to see Mt Blanc (we didn't). But, the food was not outrageously priced (16 euros for mine - Tartiflette, 19 euros for his - Le Dos de Saumon), 4.2 euros for a small bottle of San Pellegrino). We chose smaller meals since we saw neighboring diners with huge meals. It was a good... More

Eat here once just for the view. The food was nice but nothing to write home about. Worth it to have the view and the location is very central.

Decent meal here with wonderful views for our first meal in Chamonix. The service was a touch slow, but we were in no hurry after a 3 hour drive to get here form Dijon. The views of the mountains were brilliant on the sunny day we were there and just added to the experience.

A very popular restaurant in the middle of town. Food was of a good standard but the service let it down. A table of 4 guys next to us left a lot of their food so perhaps we just made lucky choices.

We went one month ago and the place wasn't so crowdy but we had to wait like 30 min. to order and other 40 min. to be served. Waiters were very unpolite and at the end they brought just few of what we ordered. When we made it notice none excused for it and also the "responsible" a Young woman... More

Eaten here a few times, I really like the interior, feels like an alpine restaurant. The food is really good, we had soup and a main course but to be honest the soup would have been enough. Got caught in a storm right before and we needed warming up! Good local beers available.

Well it seems like this place is real hit and miss and for us it was a big miss. We were seated, given menus and waited for the waitress to return so we could order when she came back and asked to move us to another table as they wanted to use ours for a bigger group (definitely one way... More
