Much better than your average golf club restaurant

Good food, modern style, well presented at a reasonable price. Nice terrace with views to the golf holes if the weather is good, if not, the restaurant is very comfortable, contemporary log style cabin, very professionally run. Young enthusiastic staff, reasonable wine list.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful setting. Food was very good. Make sure to grab a post dinner drink in the cosy sofas by the fire place.

Chose this restaurant after reading the terrific reviews, we were looking for something special for a birthday evening and came away feeling rather let down. It was fine, but it lacked that something special. It had elements of finesse but it just didn't quite meet the standard it projects. It felt confused, failing to meet my expectations of fine dining... More

I ate at this restaurant as part of a large group. The restaurant is set out in the style of a large chalet. It feels very rustic and welcoming (in spite with the golden reindeers!). The food was good and reasonably priced. I would eat here again.

We went there with a bunch of 10 Friends for a Birthday Dinner. Food was excellent and each and every main course was very tasty. Wine was good and desserts were excellent. Ambience was very nice and clearly a very popular place with the elite. The place was full and buzzing. However I felt that the service could be much... More

Three guys traveling together for skiing, we found this restaurant very close to our hotel, the Labrador. Surprisingly nice, cozy, good food, friendly staff - the works. Could't have been better for our needs. Best place we dined in Chamonix, and WAY better than its sister restaurant, the Cap Horn. Do not hesitate - you will love it. We had... More

Had dinner here with a group of friends while skiing in Chamonix. Beautiful restaurant with good solid food. Fixed menu was very affordable and wine list quite good. Service not very good and not too friendly. You can sit in different sections of the restaurant and there is a nice zone for a drink close to the fire place.

Had a fantastic three course meal here and I was very impressed. In particular the Pumpkin Soup was excellent. Also their tartiflette is renowned as being one of the best in Chamonix and it certainly did not disappoint. The chocolate cake with ice cream for desert was equally brilliant. Would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant.

La Cabane is really an amazing place with a typical chamoniard design, a nice menu (signature dishes, French cuisine or pasta). The service is quite warm, staff very nice and looking after all your desires. Everywhere you seat, the ambiance is pleasant. I really recommend to enjoy a glass of champagne before dinner, next to the fire place, it's so... More

I've been to the Cabane a number of times over the last few years, usually with a friend who owns a chalet in Chamonix and so knows the managers well, plus he's a big tipper. I've been 3 times without him and the experience is always very different. The food is always excellent and the set menus very good value.... More
