Best breakfasts in Chamonix & Great steaks in the evening

We live in Chamonix and this little place is a complete gem. Absolutely the best place for breakfasts with completely delicious coffee. We live in Chamonix and this little place is a complete gem. Absolutely the best place for breakfasts with completely delicious coffee. Their lunches offer a welcome relief to the cheese fest on offer elsewhere - delicious salads and always something tasty on the specials. Decided to give this place another try after poor service at New Year... Wish we hadn't. Group of five us went for breakfast and three of us had sausages, all three of us had S&D for the next 36 hours. They looked pale and undercooked when they came out but seemed firm in the middle but clearly weren't cooked properly.... More

This used to be my absolute favorite restaurant while living in Chamonix two years ago. So I returned with very high expectations. The changes made to the dining area were nice. Unfortunately changes in the menu did not please at all. No fixed price 3-course menu with interesting options anymore. I also missed the amazing soups they served before as... More

Popped in for brunch after shopping at the farmers market it was a very pleasant experience beautiful British fry up breakfast and cake to die for. We haven't been for an evening meal year but will do :-)

We have been in this restaurant every time we went to Chamonix for the last 4 years and it has always been excellent. This time however they changed the menu, so it is much more focused on steaks. But the steaks were average quality, really chewy. Everything else: veggie pies, fish, pork ribs, sides, deserts — amazing. In my opinion,... More

Hyped up for some reason. Steaks weren't anything special and chips were soggy. Staff tried to make amends by doubling the portion of chips but they weren't better. Staff was very friendly though.

We couldn't fault the food and service we received at La Petite Kitchen. The vegetarian options of Winter Root Vegetable Salad and the Spinach and Cheese Strudel were excellent, as were the side orders of fries and pan-fried mushrooms. The New York Cheesecake was also delicious! The waitress was super-friendly and helpful and overall we had a great evening out.

I've always enjoyed European food and have always been partial to a bocadillo or two and love a glass of Don Simon but this place was incredible. The food was out of this world and wouldn't have been out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. The service was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Will be... More
