Great service & pretty good value

Very nice restaurant with a friendly spirit. Good & various menu. Really good choice. Between 1-2 pm might be not easy to get in.

We specifically went here for the Steak and Frites and it did not disappoint. The steaks were properly cooked with their trademark sauce on the top. I know that it is the custom to put the sauce on the steak but I actually would have preferred it on the side and would ask that the next time. Nice lean French... More

I'd say a 3 1/2 [so closer to good than average - but you didn't give me the former option!] The best feature was their very rare steak specialty of the house: superb sauce; soggy but tasty chips; standard salad. The wines not cheap; I selected the cheapest Bordeaux [Superieur] @ 21 euros: it was fine. The down side was... More

If you want to enjoy good cuisine while in Annecy, go to l'Etage. Everything we ordered was perfectly delicious. I ordered the €26 menu: salad, a main dish and a dessert. I had the melon ham salad, which contained mozzarella too, I loved it, it was so delicious and it's a good portion, I could have stopped my dinner there,... More

The service here is appalling. Very off hand, abrupt, unhelpful and verging on downright rude. The food is a mixed bag. Overall not very good. I ordered a good quality 2009 Saint Joseph red wine. It should have been decanted. I asked the waiter why it wasn't and he said because I didn't ask it to be! Funny all the... More

Located along the walking street in city center, this restaurant has purportedly been around for 80 years. Regardless, the owner was cordial but direct – and his recommendation for the food was excellent. I had their signature dish – a steak with a demi-glaze sauce made from over 20 ingredients –and it was amazingly delicious. (I inquired about taking a... More

Centrally located on a pedestrian street in the old town. Excellent and friendly wait staff. As the weather was warm with a gentle breeze, we opted to sit outside although the interior has a very nice ambiance. The salads were excellent as was the steak/fries my husband ordered. I wanted to try something local so chose Tartiflette, a speciality of... More

Choose this restaurant by location and TA reviews. Outside seating is available but we eat upstairs with the beamed dining room providing a very nice ambiance. We started with escargot in garlic and Armagnac. followed by entrees of fondue with cep mushrooms and cod with risotto. All plates were excellent. The owner was very solicitous and helpful in deciding what... More

We go there on regular basis. Always loved it as the food is good and fair selection of wine. However, last time I have ordered tuna and it was so bad that I left the entire dish. Great location, very nice and cosy interior.

A very busy Saturday lunchtime. The food was ok although the duck was a bit chewy. Service was good though.
