Well worth the short walk - excellent

We took the 10 minute walk away from the touristy town centre, but it was well worth it. Dont worry about the outside - a nice meal waits within. The food is well prepared and excellent value. We would certainly go back.

Plates are delicious, well presented, good service. We have been there on many occasions for the past 10 years, also for dinners. The minus is the dining room, very crowded and very bland looking. But the chef owner does a superb job. Great address in Annecy.

Passing through Annecy, my son and I decided to try the Bistro du Rhone. We were so glad that we persisted, when we got slightly lost trying to find it - it is slightly hidden, but well worth the effort to seek out. We ate a delicious seafood soup, with thinly sliced fresh vegetables and shellfish, then a wild boar... More

Stopped for lunch when passing through Annecy. Not overly impressed when glanced at from across the street but the service and food were fantastic. Busy with mixed generations of locals on a Saturday lunchtime, our party of 17 (!) were warmly received and well catered for. Everything was delicious and great value to boot.

Like others, we went after reading the Tripadvisor reviews. It was only a short walk from the old town. We had the cheaper menu of the day, and each course was delicious. The terrine with Foie Gras was a highlight. The service was excellent, and the ambience lovely. The communication prior to the meal was very good, and Sophie and... More

That's "surprising" which Le Bistro du Rhone is in several ways. First, as others have noted, it's in a surprising place - a little court in the middle of small businesses. Second, it has a small patio but fairly large interior space. Third, we were the only anglophones (but they graciously tolerated our French). Fourth, the food is superb. Fifth,... More

This was probably the most enjoyable restaurant experience of our 3 weeks in France, and given the competition, that's saying a lot. It's a quaint, family-run place tucked away in a little commercial court, well away from the crowded, touristy parts of Annecy. Not the easiest place to find, but very much worth the trouble. We had a good feeling... More

Thanks to Tripadvisor we earmarked Le Bistro du Rhone for a family dinner during our recent holiday to Annecy. We booked about a month in advance for Easter Saturday night. We walked quite a bit (aided by Google Maps!!!!!) to find it. Id recommend finding it in advance to save being under pressure and late for your reservation. It is... More

If you go to Annecy I would without a doubt head to this restaurant. The service was good, and the food was delicious. We headed for a three-course meal for 38 euros. Risotto, amazing 'peche du jour' and 'fondant au chocolat'. Great value for money! The food was delicate, and I think I could have eaten everything on the menu.... More

Le Bistro du Rhone is a bit of the beaten track, but not by much. The restaurant is actually only a 10 minute walk from the heart of the old town in Annecy, and it is worth the stroll. I recently went with a fairly large group (23 skiers) at the end of a week-long holiday. We made reservations well... More
