A good surprise in Saint-Remy

A 3-4 pages menu including French (local), Italian (pasta and pizza) and international dishes, the decor is minimal but clean. Food was waited a bit (we were 10 to be served) but came in big quantities and it was good. Kids menu are well thought. And they do their best to serve your specific... read more

This is a real genuine bistrot inside the very tourist nice village of St. Remy de Provence. Smiling owners and staff attend a very attentive service. They also do their best speaking a little English, Excellent salads with all flavours of legumes Provencal. In addition excellent German beer served on perfection, Terrific very good value for money,

I am at a loss sometimes as how to rank certain restaurants. ( Say a 5 star that underperforms is a 4 and a middle of the road establishment that over performs is a 4. They do not quite seem equal.) Well this little cafe was a quick choice for 2 hungry hikers and it over performed. We walked up... More

Very nice staff and speak English. Decent menu. Cod filet with aioli was plain with no seasoning. Bull stew had some good flavors.

Just had a fabulous family lunch on the terrace. Would recommend the plat du jour (today was grilled ham) or the home-made pissaladerie (onion/anchovy tart). We had both!! Accompanied by the ratatouille - also homemade and excellent. Very reasonably priced for very high quality food. Service with a smile, fast and efficient. Cannot think of one thing that was wrong!... On our second night in St. Remy, we walked around the town and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. We were put in a booth underneath a television and there was no reason as the restaurant was empty. I ordered spaghetti and much to my surprise it was a bowl of spaghetti noodles and no meat sauce. That is... More

The terrace looks out over the main square in St Remy and on market day there is a lot to see. The meal was good with reasonable prices. Service was excellent even at a very busy time. One of our best lunches.

Very nice, friendly service for 2 non-French speaking tourists! Wanted French food and got it. The bouillabaisse was stunning. Side spread was a mayo-curry-ish kind of thing and was really good. Ratatouille was awesome and could've been the entree! The local beef speciality was really interesting. A sort of spice flavored the dark black beef in sauce with olives. Mondays... More

I have eaten here four or five times and never been disappointed. Good tasty local food with good service and very reasonable prices. Eat on the terrace and enjoy the street scenes below! You can't go far wrong here

Pleasantly surprised by this good value 28 euro menu. The salads were excellent, lamb and vegetables tasty, the pichet wine very drinkable. The tarte au citron was a disappointment but overall the meal was extremely good value, and slightly more than we could eat. This is also one place where the traffic is not very noticeable when one is sitting... More
