Description: Welcome to the rebellious alchemy of a modern inn Savour every moment of a rare and simple truth, a thousand thoughtful attentions and a host of sophisticated details. The old farmhouse, a timeless artwork set amid century-old trees and the sunny scents of countless flowers, invites you to discover its creative originality. The house, decorated by artist Roger Bezombes in the 1950s, is a riot of colourful mosaics and unusual curiosities. Like the painter's chosen palette, the three rooms and two spacious suites are bright and richly sensual. Each has its own elegant personality to fire a guest's imagination. The restaurant too is a magic place. Bernard's originality and humour infuse his spontaneous cuisine, inspired by the quality of the local produce he uses. The carefully-selected wines are gems that add a scintillating final touch. We cultivate the arts of hospitality and sharing.

With apologies to Alice and Bernard, this review is from our trip in June 2014. Our dinner at Mas de L'Amarine was one of the most enjoyable meals we have ever had. Possibly the most enjoyable. The setting is lovely - a delightful blend of gardens on different levels with a beautiful art gallery and gracious home setting. Everything is... More

Excellent food and excellent service ! Creativity and tradition in a great setting with meticulous and inspiring attention to detail. The place is simply amazing for the art and objects that make it really special. The oysters with green apples were the right way to start a superb meal. The starters, crab soup and foie gras were perfectly executed. The... More

My husband and I went there with our son (6 years old, yes, this is crazy but we love good food even while we are having children) and - of course - one of the first things he did was to spill his apple juice. Luckily this happened still outside where we were having our amuse- gueule in the nice... More

My wife, younger son, and I recently returned to the States after having spent 5 marvelous days at the Mas de l'Amarine. And now I find myself compulsively returning to their website or our photos in a vain attempt to recreate the overwhelming sense of well-being we all felt there during our visit. Alas, neither do justice to the actual... More

We were very disappointed with our experience a week ago and would not recommend the restaurant. Whilst the food was fine, the service was extremely bad, with an arrogant waiter (Michel) and manager (Alice), and frankly food too expensive for what we had (c. Eur 500 for 5 adults and 2 young children, with no deserts and no coffee) but... More

especially fabulous for an aficionado of modern art. the hospitality just couldn't be better as the owner (?) is a magical fairy who writes each nite's menu in a huge book which she props on a chair while you're enjoying drinks and explains the menu in detail so each guest can order perfectly. then down to the amazing garden for... We enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant and the attentive staff and beautiful setting. The food was good although could have done with more seasoning but was well worth the visit. It looked a lovely place to stay with a great pool and modern art surroundings

What a beautiful evening we had last night with friends at Mas De L'Marine A nice mix of modern in an ancient place but very classy hospitality from the lady who owns the place. Appero under the trees before dinner - Domain Guilbert Rose' which is made around the corner and the easiest drinking wine on the planet. Afterwards dinner... More

This restaurant was recommended by the Le Chateau des Alpilles . A beautiful stone farmhouse previous owned by a famous French artist was recently converted into a first class restaurant and "private" bed and breakfast by a cute French couple. Down a country road a mile from St. Remy sits this oasis. Greeted by a young French, energetic women who... More

We settled for the set lunch which was both interesting and also superbly executed. At 35Euros (excluding wine) it is great value for money n Saint Rémy which is expensive compared to other places in the area. service is friendly and professional. One of the best of around 100 places tp eat. The dining room is quirky and fun and... More
