JUST off the old town circle is this GEM of the unfortunately fewer and fewer, mom and pop restaurants. Husband runs the restaurant, wife does all the cooking; read, be prepared to drink wine and converse, the as you order food is worth the wait. Ent there twice in ten days in Saint Remy.

It was Friday of this shoulder season. We were the first table in this tiny bistro. Greeted warmly by the owner. Good pate, poulet et Dijon sauce with nice accompaniments & apple tart for dessert. Good service, good food, and a fair price!

Very welcoming and husband and wife run this restaurant serving very tasty food. Beautiful little restaurant room. Nice oasis escape from some other very samey restaurants in St Remy.

Small, and staffed by the owner and his wife, this is an excellent value restaurant. They had two fixed price menu's at 17.50 euros and 24.5 euros for 3 courses. We opted for the 24.5 and had a Ravioli Royan and Coquilles St Jacques, followed by Wild Boar and an Entrocote. The vegetables were Lyonnais potatoes and a courgette mousse.... More

Le Roma was closed on a Tuesday night in late October, and we happened on La Forge while walking through town. We expected, perhaps, an overpriced and average meal, but instead enjoyed a very good meal at a good price. The starter of ravioli was delicious, as was the confit de cuisse de canard, and the salmon. Dessert was an... More

The restaurant is small caters for 28 people but has charm and a cosy atmosphere. We enjoyed the very well priced 17.50E three course menu. Different to L,Estagnol, then half the price. It suited us 100% as we only wanted a tasty well cooked meal. Entrees we had were a lovely tomato, cheese cucumber and basil salad, and the other... More

Restos in St Remy tend to be high, so were glad to find La Forge...19 & 24 € menu with 3 courses, good choices, nice service. Youcan choose more expensive options a la carte..but we loved our choices. Small setting in old brick room, very pleasant time.

A small and slightly quirky experience with excellent local items on the prix fixe menu. Most of the other diners were local - always a good sign. You may a wait for food but with only one waiter I guess things can't be rushed.
