This is a great restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation at least one day ahead. Their pre-fix menu is wonderful. We ate at several restaurants during our 10 day stay in France and this was one of the best, definitely the best in Saint Remy.

The food at L'estagnol is very good however, while the service is decent, it lacks the warmth and personal touch of other Provençal restaurants that we have visited. I wish that they would gave taken a few more moments to explain and boast about their food and wine lists. Please don't get me wrong, this is a good restaurant however,... More

This had a great seafood selection. Sole was great. Good flavors. Wife had bull steak. It was a decent cut, very lean, could have had a little more seasoning. Staff was great with service and the language.

Expected more! The seating is in a lovely courtyard. Our dinner was okay. Actually, my husband had better choices I guess. He started with the salad of gambas and followed with the calamari lightly sautéed. Excellent ! I started with the salad of tomatoes, mozzarella and ham..it was okay. The grilled turbot was just not great. A large flat piece... More

Based on the reviews i was really looking forward to dinner here. I left hungry and upset. Starters just ok; the cod (which was not cod) inedible- chewy, wet in texture and was uncooked in the middle. Getting it cooked more (which took a while) did not help it also came with something unpleasant that was apparently aubergine. The lamb... More

Thank you for your comment ... shameful ! You did not like your cod, and that we can accept and be sorry, however, we sold lot of it and there was only one problem (with you ). Moreover, the team has done everything possible to rectify the mistake and offer another dish, but you were rude and unpleasant despite all... More

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We loved it. The setting was excellent. The service was excellent, attentive and fast. The menu was exciting and varied. The food was supers. The chef is to be congratulated for innovation and brilliant presentation . We had the set menu at Euros 30 and this was first rate. The gazpacho was... More

For us, this is the best restaurant in the town of St Remy. Courtyard seating, warm balmy evenings, menus with strange English translations, and helpful friendly staff…and then the food is simply delicious. Two visits, and each one relaxed, romantic, carefree and the wonderful feeling of all’s right with the world. A must visit for anyone staying in the area.... More

I honestly have no idea why this restaurant is rated so highly -- the foie gras was perhaps authentic but was certainly not a pâté as it said on the menu... the rest of the menu -- lamb and the seafood platter were really missable! Walked out as soon as we could and had a pizza dinner at La Cantina... More

Thank you for your visit. We are sorry for this terrible moment spent with us. Despite all our efforts to satisfy you and your family. I understand that you have been disappointed if instead of foie gras "homemade" you expect to have pate.... The seafood is raw and extremely fresh ; for the lamb, it is cooked in a traditional...
