Great food with so so service

We stayed in a hotel close to the restaurant, and even if it was not the one recommended by our hosts, we decided to go in because of the variety of the menu on the door. My wife and I ate lunch here today. The service was excellent and the food was delicious along with having a good view. I had the Roujet ( red mullet) fish and my wife had grilled shrimp. The Cavaillon green salads were also very good and quite substantial

After 3+ weeks in Italy and France this turned out to be the best food we have had on this trip. 2 of us had a house speciality and the third had fish. All were outstanding. Our plates were works of art and the flavors were memorable without too much salt. The service was friendly and kind with our fractured... More

We stayed 3 weeks in Saint-Remy (April 17 - May 8, 2014), and we couldn't get enough of Le Cigalon. We tried other restaurants, but they didn't measure up to this place. The food was outstanding, the service was really good, and we were comfortable to go back time and time again to either try new things on their menu... More

There was actually nothing wrong with the food - we just thought it was average. We had the French version of surf and turf - the steak was cooked as ordered (rare), the scallops were very good, the salad, vegetables, oven fries and accompanying dressing were all adequate. There just seemed to be quite a lot of different food presented... More

We had planned to go to the restaurant next door however it was closed. We decided to give this one a go. It was busy and welcoming. The waitress was friendly and once we had made an effort with our French she spoke English to explain the menu. The starters were both very good and the portions ample! We had... More

we were recommended to go by our accommodation reception and were pleasantly surprised by the good vibe and tasty food. we were only having a snacky type meal after a long drive but were advised to try the fixed price evening special. Very good value at E16.90 and did not have great expectations. The fish soup was not a loaded... More

We wanted to eat at this restaurant as it was highly recommended (not just recommended) by Frommers. Saint-Remy is generally not what we expected, lots of traffic and the air quality and noise aren't good. The small streets that run through the old town are nice, but this restaurant is on the main road that circles the town. Steak was... More
