Perfect pastry

If you like fine pastries and cakes, have an afternoon tea here. Widely known in Marseille for its fine pastry, the reputation is well deserved. On the down side, the cakes are expensive as is the wine. Still it is hard to find a better millefeuille in France so just enjoy it.

Popped in this morning and had a pain au chocolat and coffee. The coffee was fine, but oh.my.god. The pastry. This is what I dream of finding. Flaky and light and buttery and melts in your mouth. Few achieve this level of pastry perfection. Wow.

After hearing the rave reviews, I stopped by for a quiche and a coffee on a rainy Saturday. What a treat. Fantastic food and desserts, friendly service, and an energetic crowd of hungry visitors. Well worth the trip.

i simply love love love his cakes, this man is a genius with desserts. I have just had some macarons and the traditional french log for xmas (order it well in advance!) and it was simply a piece of art.
