A great find, wonderful ambiance and warm welcome from Laure. Hidden down a side street, we had a homely and delicious meal. One to return to!

Really, the Tripadvisor "Near Me" app is batting 1,000% this trip. Cote Rue is slightly off the Place de Lenche, and doesn't appear to have much, if any, outdoor seating. If you are at the "bottom" of the Place du Lench, facing the square, look to your right, and you will see it just off the square, on the side... More

The experience we had at Cote Rue was great for both food and atmosphere. The fish soup we had as a starter was one of the best I have ever eaten. The preparation of the "bouillabaisse" was something quite authentic and we were even allowed to follow the Chief in the kitchens to participate to the preparation of the dish.... More

I am French and wanted to avoid all touristy places to surprise my husband and eat a traditional bouillabaisse. We will never forget the warm welcome we had yesterday and the state of an art food we ate. The chef, Laure, took her time to describe all fishes she used. We could see how fresh they all were, the crabs... More

We were passing through Marseilles back in July and we really wanted to try bouillabaisse. We actually did not know where to start from and so we followed trip advisor advice and went for Cote Rue which stands in a small street giving on one of the nicest squares of the city looking on the waterfront. We got lucky because... More

In a little lane off a small square on the edge of La Panier you will find Cote Rue. Small and humble it serves the best food and the kitchen crew have a lively and lovely presence. Forget the brash Miramar if you are looking for bouillabaise. This is the place! With the kitchen hand looking on and proclaiming the... More

Forget the places down in Vieux Port, this restaurant just a short walk away offers a wonderful traditional bouillabaisse at a good price. Friendly front of house and a chef who comes to the table to explain the fish as she serves. First up, a bowl of crispy bread to be rubbed with garlic and spread with rouille which you... More

This place was AMAZING!!! Imagine amazing food and amazing staff letting you enjoy the night the way you like rather than being rushed into or out of their establishment. Imagine being waited on by an honest and appreciative owner who doesn't speak your language but makes every effort to explain the menu to you. Imagine having your favourite home-cooked dish... More

A charming restaurant off a side alley, walking distance from Vieux Port. Menu appeared to be chalked up daily on the board. Varied selection of seafood, meat and pastas. All 4 meals were beautifully prepared with the freshest of ingredients. Delicious - our best meal in Marseille. We could roughly make out what the dishes were with our basic French... More

We went there on a sunday evening for dinner with some friends and we had a lovely time. Located in a narrow alley near the "view port", it gives to the restaurant a feeling of intimacy. The owner of the restaurant was really talkative and we had a good time discussing with him. Regarding the food, we really enjoy the... More
