Yes it's pricey, but for heaven's sake, what do you expect to pay for a pastis on the sidewalk of Marseille's most famous cafe? We soaked up the sun, and loved every minute of it.

The location of this place is great on a busy corner where you can look at life passing bye in the surrounding streets and the inner part of the old harbour. The lunch menu is adequate and the service efficient. The rest of the day you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a beer in a friendly atmosphere. The... More

This is a very busy restaurant and it seems understaffed. There was one waiter serving all the outside tables and there was not a spare seat. We waited a long time to order and then an even longer time to be served the glasses of wine we ordered. In fact we were on the point of leaving when we were... More

A lovely restaurant with a great view of the marina. We had croque monsieur and orangina. The waiter was very friendly, helpful and accommodating to non french speakers.

The food was good. The burger was full of flavour and the chips were excellent. Service was a bit brusque but this could be because the restuarant was busy or because of their annoyance at the street entertainers performing outside. The cost was reasonable and the position of the restuarant meant it was a great place to watch the world... More

We went to this place in the very begining of our trip and wanted to have a breakfast. Not too mention that the whole view for vieux port is spoiled recently by construction work, so i was hard to enjoy sitting outside. After few minutes of waiting we got menus, but after some time it appeard we can only get... More

Although it might be expensive , having a drink and a meal has to happen because the place is historic to the area and its position is amazing to sit and watch people pass. The food and drinks are very nice but nothing to boast about too much but its name and history makes you sit there for at least... More

Very disappointing. The location is excellent by the old port on a very busy intersection, but the lunch salads were tired (more lettuce stalk than leaf) and the service was perfunctory at best with a "couldn't care" attitude from the waiter. Not good value and would not recommend it.

A great cafe located right by the Vieux Port. Stopped on their terrace for two coffees, came to over 7 euros. Great location for people watching. Also serves food.
