The place is fantastic: the restaurant is in the sea and facing the Frioul. The service is correct. The dishes can be very very good (fish and truffle crust over a risotto with mushrooms was excellent). The desserts are excellent when they have chocolate in them. The wine card hides some very interesting wines. Overall, the restaurant is quite expensive... More

I've never seen such rude servers in a restaurant. I suppose talking politely in face of the customer and just several meters of him, laughing on him with colleagues ( not only for one or two times), isn't a professional comportment. Food was somehow good (frankly not spectacular). The dessert was excellent, but the servers behaviors were really unacceptable.

Multi course bouillebaisse with view of chateau d'if, evoking Dumas. Also views of Marseillaise painting on house. Witty cultured service. Even visit to toilet was stunning passing by ancient whirlpool with water crashing through the grilles.

This restaurant has a very nice location by the sea in Marseille, but it is not close to the city so you need a cab to get there. We tried the nine-course menu. The sommelier advised about the wine and it was a very good advice. In this restaurant you normally have fish dishes. Even so in our menu. The... More

First the place is magical, like a postcard. Simple and nicely decorated. The service is very attentive. In contrast to what is written in some of the other comments, the place was not noisy at all, although there was big table not far. The food was simply excellent, the bouillabaisse in two service was very tasty…and the fish unbeatable. Yes... More

A lunch time, with those beautiful unique views and location to vibrate with the Med! Fantastic, but the meal is not at all promising what we dreamed earlier. (We are crazy fish lovers and we like to fish, to cook it, to savor this beautiful product!). At l'Epuisette, all seems to be very edulcorated! No great tastes; all super cleaned;... More

Expensive beyond belief. We went wanting a 'bouillabaisse experience".. We, obviously mistakenly, thought bb was a fisherman's stew expecting to maybe pay 100 euros without wine or dessert. We were told we had to order dessert before ordering the bb even though the desserts were nothin special and did not require any lenghthy preparation time. We had a reasonably priced... More

First things first: The food was excellent; pricey... but excellent. We had the menu called "Fanny" (95 eur. the whole table must have the same menu though!): 4 fish dishes (starter + 3 mains) and 3 desserts, all very creative and served in right proportions. The service was very (very!) snobbish, if not comtemptuous, to only reach new heights of... More

It started off as an unpleasant experience as one of our friends was robbed of her purse while waiting at the front desk. It was quiet in the restaurant and two person came on a motorcycle and had the audacity to walk into the restaurant, ripped out the handbag from her neck and escaped. The restaurant staff gave chase but... More

herded around by our well-meaning friends to try authentic bouillabaisse, we were aptly relieved by the meal here. superb all round and no, we didn't have the classic fish soup. don't force yourself to have it just because everyone else does. trust me, you'll have just as good or quite likely an even better meal if you gave the other...
