Ate here twice during a seven day stay in Gordes. Quiet setting 300 metres from the village centre, parking easily accessible in the grounds. Limited menu, but seems to be based on Provencal dishes and using local produce. Very friendly and welcoming staff.Good place for a reasonably priced meal in pleasant surroundings away from the more crowded restaurants in the village.

Warm welcome

We were offered our choice of a warm, welcoming interior room or seating on a glassed-in terrace, snce it was raining. We may have had the friendliest service of any of our Provencal dining experiences. The flavors were fresh and interesting, and the presentation creative and fun. It was a... read more

We were offered our choice of a warm, welcoming interior room or seating on a glassed-in terrace, snce it was raining. We may have had the friendliest service of any of our Provencal dining experiences. The flavors were fresh and interesting, and the presentation creative and fun. It was a lovely way to spend our last evening in Provence. Don't... More

Beautiful setting, Provençal hospitality and excellent food. I started with a beautifully prepared assortment of charcuterie, followed by a very nice tuna steak that I cooked on a very hot lava rock brought to the table and ended my meal with an assortment of 5 small portions of a variety of desserts. We sat outdoors overlooking their beautiful garden. The... More

After reading one of the reviews here "Experience of a Lifetime", I booked a cooking class with Jean for my family of 4. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our 2 week trip in Provence! Even before meeting Jean, he was quick to respond by email and sent me a menu of 4 choices we could... More

We had an incredible dinner here. Most importantly the staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make it a perfect night - even organizing our transportation and helping plan parts of our trip!

We booked a table for my husband's birthday; upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by our names: nice touch but it went downhill from there... Long wait; one inexperienced, new waiter taking orders, another waiter over stretched. 31euro red wine bottle served without pouring and cold, from the fridge. When I questioned the bottle's temp, was told that was... More

We called for reservations quite late in the day and the hostess ( you could feel the smile on her face) cheerfully took our 8 pm time. We had a bit of a chat on the phone ( me English and her French) and she recalled it when we arrived. A nice touch. We sat on their garden tables, but... More

While the garden is a lovely setting and the staff helpful we were not able to look past the very ordinary food. I ordered the stone grilled meats and had to look quite hard on the plate to find the minute portion of chicken that was overcooked. One of our party (a vegetarian) ordered the vegetable pasta to find it... More

We were excited to enjoy a meal in this restaurant's lovely garden with a crowd of happy laughing people. Perhaps that was the problem, too many guests. We waited about 30 minutes at our table before being offered a wine (although others arriving after us were served). We were warned when we placed our order that our choice would take... More

I feel compelled to write a review after an amazing experience at Le Clos de Gustave. My husband and I had dinner there earlier this week. We knew we'd found a good place when we popped in 15 minutes before their opening time, and were still welcomed with a smile. We proceeded to enjoy an excellent meal in beautiful surroundings... Had a nice dinner in Gordes on the day we arrived. Gustave is in a converted farm house 500 ft from the village center. Food and atmosphere was B+. The most unique item was meat (prime rib) served on a heated stone slab. Very nice presentation
