Very surprising that this hôtel became a LHW "Leading Hotel of the World " this year ? In fact we came back this summer and discover that it had just been sold to a French Milliardaire, and will next winter get some renovation. How can a Hotel become a Leading Hotel of the World before it is even renovated ???... More

This restaurant has improved enormously over the last couple of years. We visited it several times over the summer and the food is consistently delicious, with excellent service. They are helpful and attentive. The setting is wonderful.

My wife and I had a dinner there last evening. Started with a glass of Rose Champagne. Perfect. The bready accompaniment another matter. Amuse Bouche was a drowning melon or something like that. Next Fleur de Courgette Farcie which we love but here it was drowning in petit poires. Two tiny farcie and two tinier langoustine tails. at €36 each.... More

From the 'Duchess Suite' to the stunning food all is perfect in the world when staying here. Glorious views over the Louberon; goldsmiths crafting across the road; meandering streets to, not quite, get lost in; the service is probably the best ever along with the Danielli in Venice. Easy driving to Rousillion, Apt and Avignon, or simply stop and be.... More

Exceptional view, great service and wonderful food. After visiting the market, we stopped for a light lunch. I had a tomato and mozzarella salad with a nice pesto and accompanying rocket salad. However, my wife was the winner, having the spinach gnocchi. Yum. Nice rose from the Luberon made this ver enjoyable.

Top notch service, food cooked to perfection, but the highlight is the view from the terrace. Eat outside if you can, but at the very least have a cocktail there.

Just stopped for a glass of wine and ended up having dinner in the bar. They took great care of us and our 4 year old son. Staff is consistently excellent. Most have been here for years which is refreshing. Food is wonderful. Expensive, but it is perfect. We always end up there and for good reason.

We visited La Bastide after we had been to the fantastic market in Gordes. This restaurant has a breath taking view. Such a great place to relax with a lovely glass of rose. The food was not as good as previous years. A slightly limited menu. It also felt that the staff were a little over stretched for the number... More

First visit to this restaurant , overlooks the valley with an excellent view. Friendly service. Interesting menu with modest price differential between fixed and a la carte.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. Was a relatively quiet day by Gordes standards. Sat on the beautiful tree-shaded patio. Service was efficient and friendly, spoke excellent English (not that this is important to us, and in a touristy place like Gordes, one half expects this). The 3-course prix fixe lunch menu was €40 and a la carte options... More
