Little gem

We have been here several times and it never disappoints, we love the smallness (is that a word) of the place inside seats no more than 12 and a few tables outside, but that is what we love about this restaurant. The chef is the barman and waiter and does all three with amazing grace. The food... read more

The cook only uses local ingredients of good quality. Some of them biological. Tasteful dishes at reasonable prices. Small restaurant (inside) with 5 tables in a quiet environment.

Charming host, fresh locally sourced produce (mostly organic) imaginatively prepared, make this a great place to eat in Valbonne. The venue is quite smile, with no view or great comfort but the quality and the welcome are exceptional. Some really good wine - try the house rosé in summer.

The menu states all suppliers where they get their ingredients from and clearly aim for organic farms and products. The restaurant is in a lovely location, has a variety of choices and food tastes great. If you wish to try something special go for the carrot mouse and goat cheese starter. The owners are friendly and helpful. Would go there... More

This is a small and very cosy place, quick service comparing to the area and the lady very kind. You can eat without being robbed. There's a little choise but everything is good. I really suggest the chocolate with mint infusion cake, is something so delicious... you must try it..

Fresh and local products. Simple cuisine with a twist. Very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. I just loved this place. A must try for a lunch in Valbonne.

Personal Service and fine food all dished up by the owner and chef who, Incidentally, knows his wines. A great evening had by all. Don't expect a large restaurant with lots of atmosphere. This is a small and intimate affair which makes that personal service all the more appealing. Will definitely return one day.

We went to L'Escale as a group of six. it is October so no question of eating out. The restaurant is petite so we received amazingly personal service from the owner who is also the chef. The menu is modest and delicious and the wines were good too. Overall we had a fun evening, the antidote to overly pretentious dining.

The uniqueness of this restaurant makes it special. But the food is also very good; basic, down to earth, local produce. Simply a solid, good meal. No fuzz. And the service is personal and warm. Discussion the various wines, taste those the waiter liked, but which I did not order. Certainly a place to visit again, and again.

We went there for lunch and had really a disappointing experience. The waiter gave us a small table after asking for lunch. They were not really interested in us. Food was ok - we would not recommend it... There are better places for lunch around...
