As per usual, the food is delicious and the service very good, I have known this restaurant for many years, and we never had a bad meal. Nice dinning room and big terrace.

I have visited this place for lunch and dinner many times and have never been disappointed. They serve a low cost lunch menu that is really good however the a la carte menu at lunch and dinner is truly an opportunity to enjoy classic french gastronomy at a reasonable price. There is a covered terrace in summer which is about... More

Le Bois d’Orée is a popular restaurant and booking is essential. In addition to the ‘carte’ they have a series of fixed price menus, some including wine, coffee etc (“formule”). The least expensive is 19.50 euro for a starter and a main course (or main course and dessert), with a glass of wine included. Taking the same from the carte... More

We went after being turned away elsewhere and were pleasantly surprised. Very elegant surroundings, attentive service (at least until we wanted the bill, but that seems endemic to France) and most importantly, delicious food. I ordered the mussels gratinee and the steak with port sauce off the carte, husband ordered from the menu marche - Caesar salad and skirt steak.... More

Not sure if this is best. Food okay. Service okay. Atmosphere good. Prices high. Location good is staying in Valbonne area. There are better places to have a nice meal. Good for a large group to be accommodated. Would give a second chance I guess to make sure.

The quality is generally OK, but the menu generally lacks originality. The prices are reasonable and the staff quite nice. They have a nice patio.

Very pretty setting on the terrasse. Large menu...too large. Our appetizers were good . A sampling of tomatoes with soup , tomatoes with mozzarella , and a pizza sampling was more than sufficient. The main course of cod was mushy and felt as if it had been frozen and reheated.. No no for this part of France . Service was... More

We popped along the road to this serene restaurant. Found the staff pleasant and had a beautiful 3 course meal for €28 in a lovely romantic setting overlooking the garden filled with tropical plants and manicured gardens. Well worth the walk. The gazpacho tomato soup the best I have tasted for a long time. Will return as IRS only around... More

The set menu at lunch is a good choice, very price worthy. You can select a starter and a main, or a main and a dessert + a glass of wine for 19,50euros. The staff is extremely friendly and will remember you when you visit a few times in a row. The outside but covered terrace is very pleasant and... More

Have not been to this Restaurant for many years, but it was recommended by some friends for our last evening in France. As it was very near our Hotel, we decided to try it and we are so glad we did! We had a charming welcome and were very happy with the table they gave us. The food was exemplary.... More
