Fantastic french food

Nice family restaurant just outside Valbonne. Smal but tasteful meny. We choosed one of the menus (€40) and where pleased. Nice composition and the taste is very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy- but a little to light. Turn off some of the lights and light more candles.

We had lunch with friends at the restaurant in March during our stay in Antibes on the French Riviera. Corinne and Bernard LeClerc have an excellent staff and the food is outstanding. Bernard is one of the "Maitres Cuisiniers de France" !!

In the last 15 years I had the pleasure to dine 2 / 3 times a year in this restaurant. Pity to say that despite the good service and the nice setting, the food is loosing attraction. The proposed food is lacking the original quality and creativity, moving toward common combinations you can find (unfortunately) anywhere in the region. Even... More

We booked a table for our cooperate Christmas lunch and it was a big mistake in every possible way. 1. Staffs were rude : I don't know why, it was a busy day I guess and french people can be rude sometimes, but we were paying more than 50 Euro per person and I didn't expect this kind of service.... Mediterranean ambiance - with terrace overlooking a well-planted garden. The welcome is genuinely friendly, extended also to families, children and dogs and, along with the service, contributes to the welcoming, easy atmosphere. There is also ample on-site parking. The kitchen is headed by a Maitre cuisinier whose skills,, based on fresh in-season products, are most evident on the plate (despite... More

My wife and I had dinner there few days ago. The food is absolutly first class- I had the best "tournedos Rossini" I 've ever tasted, and the menu "Retour du marché" is beautiful. All ingredients are fresh, and top quality. The place itself is nice and elegant, and service is very professional. Prices are good for this type of... More

We had a meal at the Bleu Lavande a few days ago. The staff were not very polite. The well built lady and the bald guy had sour faces, and were not welcoming. We had to ask several times before they brought us what we had asked for. They certainly did not make us feel at all welcome, and if... More

The region around Valbonne is not precisely a low-cost dining area. If you are out for quality food mostly made with local ingredients in a nice environment the Bleu Lavande is one of the best places around if you are ready to pay the price and patient between the courses. Each table is booked only once per evening, opening at... More

The settings and the price made us think the food would be nice. It was really tasteless. We were 2 people and each had the same feedback. :( The place is nice however, if you like the style of traditional provencal places.

Been here several times over the years. Won't bother again, as it is overpriced and pretty boring menu compared with its neighbouring restaurants. Good quality food but not exciting flavours.
