Great setting, great service, great food

This place was recommended to us by a friend who manages a restaurant in Chamonix. The restaurant itself has actual vines growing across the ceiling and their speciality is whole fish barbecued on coals. You get to select your whole fish. First impressions are of a superb restaurant which had been totally redecorated for Le Voile in coffee and orange and beautifully done. Second impression was the chairs are not at all comfortable. The next thing we noticed was that there were three/four waiters all of whom come to the table within minutes of each other asking if everything is fine?... More

I've been to this restaurant a few times now and the food is always excellent. Decor is typically French and service not bad. Food excellent. Ordered the sea bream for two people. €115 but you have a healthy portion. I struggled to finish the meal. Wine very good and again a good measure. Question - would I go again -... More

I've been visiting this location for over 10 years now and the food continues to delight me every time I visit. Quirky location up an alley and not an obvious find, however, it's well worth searching out.this is not a modern all " style and no substance " restaurant. The Menu is extensive and I've eaten fish and meat, both as... More

Lovely old provençal house, oldest restaurant in st tropez as I been told. Prices are barely double what they would be inland. Lamb with rosemary was just perfect. Exceptional wine list. Lovely setting with stone walls, vintage garden with climbing vines.

Historical place opened in 1931, visited by all Hollywood in all these years. This year, Surprise! They redecorated a little bit the entrance and the main room. But it’s still as good as in the previous years. The service was even better this year in my opinion. Attentive and asking for food allergies or dislikes. The fish is wonderful, the... More

I found the food in the restaurant really tasty and perfect. We had menu for 51 euro. It was delicious. But its the poor service that spoil the restaurant. The waiters kept us waiting long time till they brought us the menu. They make no eye contact at all, so the clients must keep waiting if they need something. They... More

We have going to this restaurant for five years, as it is one of the 'must do's in St Tropez. However, the place has changed beyond all recognition this year. The service was more like a military than a catering exercise, with waiters giving only the most perfunctory courtesy to the customers, rushing around from table to table, making no... More

Had dinner here with my girlfriend. We shared the Cote de boeuf. At 41 euro's each you'd expect something special. It was huge! A bit tough but overall good. The potatoes and vegetables could hardly be seen next to it (would have liked a bit more!). Service was super. I'd recommend but bring money!

This is a great restaurant off the beaten path that features Southern French cuisine. The service was excellent and extremely friendly. The food was fresh and flavorful. The ambiance was welcoming and quaint. If you are looking for a good quiet eating experience, I would recommend eating here before any of the cliche restaurants overlooking the port and the yachts.
