OK food at a fair price for St.Tropez

Central location in the village, yes. I even think that it's where the very popular Tropezien haunt "Chez Fuch's" used to be. For Saint-Tropez, the restaurant's prices aren't inflated (at least they weren't in March - out of season). Serves standard bistrot fare at a relatively fair price. OK for a... read more

When we passed this restaurant it looked inviting, so we walked back there for lunch- what a mistake. The chicken spring rolls were still frozen in the centre - they provided replacements, but the same problem, we suggested they forget the starter. Our son ordered a burger, medium, but it was still mooing, so we sent that back as well.... More

OK for a decent "steak frites" served by kindly staff.

We had read former reviews and decided to have a light dinner here. It does not appear to know what it is.....a bistro? A patisserie? A brasserie? Certainly not a restaurant or Superman. Staff are completely disinterested, that or just plain vacuous. Ambiance is a niche above greasy spoon cafe. Food was totally unremarkable, and rendered even less palatable by... More

We went to this restaurant last week as Anthony Peregrine had recommended it in the Daily Telegraph. We should have noted that Tripadvisor rate this restaurant 168 out of 225 restaurants. We ordered smoked salmon and blinis as starters and when it arrived there were no blinis just white toast. The waiter said they did not have any blinis. If... More

We were recommended this restaurant by someone who lives locally. On arrival you would think this is just a cafe but the main restaurant is on the first and second floors. Very comfortable chairs although the tables are quite close together. There is one table on each floor that's in the window overlooking the small street below so try and... More

Do not expect something special. This restaurant is on of many in this place. Not a stylish restaurant, not an excellent meal, there is nothing special. Good location perhaps, yes, I can say that. Just a few steps from the port of St-Tropez. From outside looks strange, from inside it is more modern restaurant, than classic, which is not an... More

The service was fine, they offered to speak English but since we speak French that was not neccesary. We both had a fillet with sauce Bearnaise, which was actually quite good. The fries and vegetables (Haricots verts from the dish of the day) were also fine. The dessert was a filled chocolate tarte (gendarme du Saint Tropez), quite ok, and... More

We came here completely by accident and were not aware of the reviews on this site. We found the restaurant to be satisfactory with good quality of food, good and attentive service and a wide variety of choice of cakes. Compared to what we experienced the only thing to put the finger on was lack of space and that it... More

Slow service. Uncomfortable chairs. Hot. Mediocre food. "Rather be anywhere else" service. Try somewhere else instead.

This was a question of finding by accident and luckily we hadn't read these reviews and if I could figure out how to do 3 1/2 stars that would be about right. We found it expensive, but it is Saint Tropez - nevertheless €41 for a club sandwich, smoked salmons and pancake, sparking water and diet coke is a bit... More
