Captivative and arty.

Old world charm made for a excellent start to a memorable evening. The art on the walls tells a story of an era long gone by. How I would have loved to be there when Chagall and Picasso ect frequented this restaurant! The staff was friendly and helpfull. The wine list had a good variety of choises... read more

La Colombe D'Or always makes you feel special ! Have been a "regular" visitor since the 70's but it only seems like yesterday and I can't wait for "tomorrow's" next visit. The menu hasn't changed - the hors d'oeuvres are a triumph on how much you can put on one table ! Grilled sole is beautifully served and beautiful in... More

I had to phone up and book this restaurant months before in French from England (you cannot book on-line), and worried that our booking would have got lost. I checked the day before - it hadn't. And it was everything we hoped it would be, and more. Specifically, it was a great deal more relaxed than we imagined. We ate... More

Dining in the private garden of La Colombe d'Or was a real treat. It is a beautiful setting, and very peaceful (unlike most local restaurants where the outdoor dining is roadside.) The tables are spread nicely apart, which was also a welcome change from local restaurants which crowd tables together. The service was very attentive even though the restaurant was... More

What an amazing place...The food was only to be outdone by the amazing artwork on the walls...Picasso, Chagall and many more! One of the most memorable lunches we had while in the Nice area. The history of the restaurant is worth researching.

This is the third time we have been here, and I booked it as a highlight for our Anniversary Dinner, including ordering some flowers, which were decidedly disappointing. This restaurant is world famous, but more for its atmosphere and history rather than its food. The service was quite efficient, but brusque. It is casual rather than fine dining, and the... More

The food was good, not great. The wine was good and reasonably priced. The service had to be negotiated and cajoled. The price was expensive. However, the art collection indoors was extraordinary, breath-taking.

Having been 8 years ago, we were all excited about visiting again. However the food was barely average. Trying to be niche the menu is written in coloured crayon with minimal information. One starter-the pate, was accompanied by a veggie hamper of whole artichokes, celery and carrots, whilst the melon and ham was just that-a plate of ham and a... More

We stumbled across La Colombe D'Or a few years ago, by chance, when visiting St Paul de Vence. We were able to book for dinner that night and had a truly wonderful night. The food, atmosphere, staff, environment - was all spot on and it was the one outstanding highlight of our visit. It was with real excitement that we... More

On the bucket list to eat here.. went with a fellow foody friend... the service was excellent, waiters everywhere but not intrusive... the portions were very generous and delicious. Surroundings fascinating with all the art... would love to stay here one day too... Very reasonable 70 Euros per person for 3 courses and a bottle of wine to share...
