Evening meal for 3, we dropped in early on a Saturday night and bagged the last table after wandering around looking at the surfeit of similar café & restaurant. The waiter was professional, he explained the menu in great detail in French, realising that I was struggling when we got to the technicalities of a cut of meat dropped into... More

Thank you for your comment, actually, the reduced carte confirms our policy of freshness and quality of the product that are "home made." We take great interest in the well being of our customers and your comment confirms it, so thanks you to you. The whole team of the Ormeau hope to see you very soon. Regards. More

We have visited sainte maxime many times and often visited L'Ormeau as the food is good and the owner and staff are very friendly. We were pleased to see a new menu this year which has a more french theme. What I like is the fact that to make a change to a dish is not a problem and they... More

Good food and nice ambience with friendly people. Recommended by our hotel. We've had 2 great meals and intend going again before returning to England. Hopefully we'll be back next year too.

Seven for lunch, including three children on a Bank Holiday. Had the 28 euro set menu, which did not offer a Salad or Vegetarian choice. The grilled Tuna main was the highlight of an indifferent lunch. The children's dessert consisted of one small scoop of ice cream, served in a small glass tumbler. All in all expensive, when other restaurants... More

Sainte Maxime has been our favourite destination for more then 10 years and we discovered this year L'Ormeau just two days before our scheduled leave.. Our first dinner was so good so we decided to try it again. Everything we had was exceptional: the maigret de canard (duck) was the best I have ever had in more than 30 years... More

We know Ste Maxime very well and have been here for many years of holidays. It keeps improving as a town and there is no shortage of places to eat. There are some very good, but most are fairly average In what they offer and many not worth the money. We had the €25 menu. The Goats cheese starter was... More

We ate at this restaurant three times during our holiday this summer, each time the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu selection was good The food was beautifully presented and delicious.

Just had a wonderful meal at L'Ormeau. My girlfriend had the goats cheese salad and the Bali style chicken and proclaimed it as the best meal she has had in the the French Riviera. I too very much enjoyed the Bream tatare and the duck main. Lovely service that would make you think... Why go to Saint Tropez anyway? Great... More
