Description: Located on Boulevard Dubouchage in Nice, Restaurant Aphrodite combines a potent mix of vibrant energy, exciting nouvelle cuisine and seriously stylish customers to create what has become one of the most innovative restaurants in town. Popular with a chichi corporate crowd during the day and discerning diners at night, the modern Mediterranean dining room is dressed in burnt orange and cream colours, and is decorated with contemporary artworks, sleek chairs and lemon-hued lighting. The kitchen at Aphrodite is renowned for its bold cuisine, and signature dishes include the fillet of beef roasted with pine needles and served with apple mashed potatoes; the pigeon roasted with cumin and rosemary served with Chantenay carrots; and the fillet of Saint-Pierre roasted with liquorice, pistachio nuts, purple artichokes and lemons.

I really enjoyed my meal in this restaurant. We had a romantic birthday dinner and they have the perfect surrounding for romantic evenings. For the price of 45 Euro I can highly recommend the 3 course menu 'inclination des mets'. (The same menu is less expensive at lunch time.) The dishes are innovative and different from other restaurants. I know... More

Have to say that our lunch time visit at this restaurant was a strange and rather disappointing experience. The food is trying hard to be modern and special but unfortunately it matches the tasteless 1980's time warp of an interior more than anything else. We have tried out a lot of great restaurants in Nice and based on reviews, looked... More

The waiter warned us that the food we ordered would last long, but it lasted too long, almost 1,5 hour for the main course - we did not take starters. Ladies had lamb and men beef ( 1ooo grams for two!) But it was worth waiting . And the desserts came in a decent time- so a nice evening .

Experience, a journey in 11 acts to unexplored gourmet of the region based on Liquid nitrogen – Spherification – Elmusification – Deconstructivism – Trompe l’oeil – Textures and Temperatures. That was the description of the menu I choose. The food had some bits that was not too good but most was excellent. The wine recommendations as well. And I wanted... More

Firstly the service here is excellent, Probably the best I have received. Knowledgable and passionate it is a great place to experience stunning food. The food was great, however, for my pallet it was quite rich so if you are used to more light food I recommend being cautious with your order or risk being very full by 2nd course... More

From the moment you sit down you will be wowed with the amazing food at this establishment, although they have sadly lost it's Michelin star, they are truly worth one. This restaurant does not only serve superb food but each dish is like an artwork beautifully presented. The chefs passion and love for food is clear to see for all.... More

We went there because we wanted to try molecular cuisine and I have to admit that it was a great experience. All dishes came perfectly presented and the waiter put a little humorous spin on the whole thing which made the experience memorable. This is a must do experience and I can't really comment on whether ~100Euros is expensive for... More

We visited Aphrodite as an adult family group, and had none of the issues experience by some of the recent reviewers. We were welcomed by the maitre'd and were attended to by two young women who were most attentive and courteous – this experience was not a one-off as we visited four times in 2013, and the service was exceptional... Food was just outstanding and the wine selections amazing. Excellent the food and the wine presentation. The service was very good. However there are few points to be highlighted which shouldn’t happen in a 1 star Michelin restaurant: 1. Food came out from the kitchen a bit late out of temperature; 2. The red wine glasses were not appropriate; 3.... More

If I had to resume the experience in one word it would be "Disappointing". The dinner didn´t started ok. Just when you got in, there was a waiter that showed us our table table but after that, 40 minutes waiting to have the menu to see what we could order. We ordered a 6-dish menu (69€ excluding drinks) but not... More
