This is a gourmet restaurant. My visit there, with my wife, was more like to gain an experience than just to eat. The environment was classical. People very polite and helpful. We took the menu and we were very satisfied. We choose rose wine from a local producer: magnificent! It is a very expensive restaurant but it is worth it.... More

The food is wonderful and inventive. Fairly priced. The best meal i had in Nice. The ambience was a little too stuffy for my taste, although it has the versailles vibe. The waiters were very accommodating, polite, and friendly.

★★★★★ A truly wonderful evening, magical and special. The directeur du restaurant Olivier Novelli was extremely professional and charming. He runs a tight ship with a staff that is beyond exceptional in every way possible. The only other time I've experienced such delight was at La Tour D'argent (Paris) ou Daniel (New York City).

The best food, the atmosphere, the love and true french traditions all at one place, if you are in Nice, definitely visit them or come to a bar where a fantastic group Les Folkes often plays and is one of the best around South of France bands.

Excellent service. The chateaubriand is to die for. Absolutely savored every bite. The waiter went out of his way to make it a fun experience. Would definitely go back.

Wow! Everything you would expect from a restaurant of this class. Creative modern food. Every dish was creative, and unique. The matched wines were great.

Le Chantecler at the Negresco has become a returning theme when I visit the Riviera, because quite simply there is no place else that captures the spirit and atmosphere of French sophistication and dedication to art this well. Set in a lounge overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Promenade des Anglais, this restaurant with 18th century wood panels and spectacular... More

A truly decadent experience. The 7 course tasting menu didn't disappoint. The setting is outrageously grand with service to match. Particular highlights were the crab cannelloni and the white chocolate and strawberry dessert.

We celebrated my birthday with my family at Le Chantecler at Hotel Negresco. We have been there several times before for lunch and have enjoyed it every time. This time I decided we should have the Menu Decouverte which turned out to be a 10 course journey through the best Jean-Denis Rieubland can offer. The sommelier suggested a Magnum Clos... More

Our Family went to the restaurant on 20th July 2014 and was persuvaded to choose the "surprice menu". We did not regret this recommendation! 7 small courses followed by excellent recommendations from the sommerlier: expensive, but perfectly chosen! After our meal we joined the piano bar - had some superb mixed cocktails and listened to professional muscisians. Our conclusion is... More
