Lovely food with wonderful service

My partner and I ate here when we cold not get into a nearby restaurant. The lovely waitress was very quick to welcome us in and make us feel at home. Both things I ordered: smoked salmon with bread and foie gras as a starter, and lamb with potatoes as the main course tasted okay. The starter can be called good, but certainly not great (implying that the main course can NOT be called good in any case). You would expect the food to taste much better for a 40EUR dinner... More

We had been recommended a number of restaurants in the old town especially on Rue Prefecture. Unfortunately, many were fully booked on a Tuesday night. We saw the chalkboard outside and noticed the "maison" reference which means everything is done fresh and on the premises. We were lucky to get a table (2 people) without a booking. We had taken... We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and it was the only place we were able to get a reservation last minute on a Sunday evening. It's very charming inside and we loved the atmosphere. The food, on the other hand, left something to be desired. Especially for the price. We started with the goat cheese crumble and the... More

Why would I give Le Tire Bouchon top marks, although there was too much pepper in the sauce that came with the beef? Why would I praise it to high heaven although the cheese platter was uninspiring? Because the white Côtes de Provence wine was excellent value for money? Because the decoration is cosy and the lighting perfect? None of... More

This restaurant is in the old part of town and very small, looks like a typical bistro, rather than the larger patio fronted restaurants (aal with a too Engligh trype menu). It is split into two area, if the fron is full, please ask, as there is another part of the restaurant aroound the back - we saw some diners... More

This restaurant was lovely. We tried to visit the main restaurant located on the main street but they were fully booked. We were taken around the side street and directed to this restaurant and was plesently surprised. We were made to feel very welcome by the waitresses which instantly relaxed us. There is a great set menu and I would... More

Dined here for dinner in February 2015. Last dined here in 2013. If anything the food was better. Great atmosphere and excellent service. We dined here on two evenings. The home made foie gras was very good as were the mains which included risotto with mushrooms and truffle oil , excellent sea bass and rather good fillet steak. Puddings also... More

Along the very narrow and prestigious street in the old town of Nice, there is a tiny almost-to-be-missed gem of a restaurant...and, it glistens. The place has excellent food and outstanding personal service that screams "welcome, enjoy, and please come back". The owner, who looks like he just passed his age restriction for a driver's license is deceptively charming, knowledgeable,... More

This restaurant us tiny but quite amazing. There are lots if mirrors which makes it seem so much bigger. You catch glimpses of yourself at many angles. The black and red theme with the pretty lights gave it a great atmosphere. The food was also very good.
