I absolutely loved this place. Very nice and cosy setting in Nice's old town. All dishes are cheese based. We tried a few of them which were all delicious! Great selection of wines as well, and waiter will give you a recommendation based on your tastes. Price range more than ok - we spent c.EUR90 for a bottle of wine,... More

Attractive settings in the basement. Average but big entrees, similar impression about mains. Not too much cooking involved however well selected starting ingredients made this bistro being better than average. meal are big, come if you are s cheese lover and very hungry

My family and I went here on a suggestion from a local and weren't disappointed. We arrived early, so a reservation wasn't necessary, but I could see coming in without one being a problem later in the evening. It was packed when we left around 9:30. The atmosphere in the basement dining room is great-- very cozy with low, stone... More

A bit off the beaten track but with Google maps very easy to find. Excellent venue in a very interesting basement grotto. A reservation was required as it was packed for the early sitting within 10minutes. Service exceptional. The owner/manager helpful with the menu which had pretty much cheese with everything. A key point is their choice of only Natural... More

This review will be short and sweet because everyone else has already given all the accolades. This is a fantastic eatery. Not only for the meals but for the ambiance. Just a wonderful place not to miss. Caution - You will have to make reservations, generally.

We met some other travelers who told us about this place...so glad they did! First you go down to a sort of basement/cave...super gothic and the waiters are all SOOO hot ;) The wine and cheese plates were absolutely scrumptious. The tartiflete was so rich and creamy...seems like small portions of food...but you leave stuffed....did I mention the waiters were... More

Look out for this busy restaurant, situated in a cellar because it is easily missed. But despite the unprepossessing frontage the restaurant is a gem. It has a wonderful atmosphere, the staff are enthusiastic and efficient while the food is just wonderful! I just cannot praise the restaurant highly enough. But be sure to book - it gets really busy.

Cheese lover's paradise, but there's more to Le Bistro du Fromager than great cheese. We had one of the more memorable meals of our European vacation at this restaurant, and we had more than a few really great meals during our trip. Service was friendly and attentive but never pushy, and we savored our delicious three-course meal over the course... More

We had a very romantic evening at Bistro du Fromager, which is are favorite restaurant in Nice. The food is inventive and delicious. The staff is helpful, high energy and funny. The home-made bread is out of this world. Unique setting in a 17th century cellar.
