Outstanding food and value

Superb Italian food in this restaurant which is much larger than it appears from the outside. Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. Sharing plates is the way to go. They have a magnificent and huge Antipasto plate for E16.50 which we share as a starter, then we share a pizza or a huge pasta... read more

We were recommended to go here by the taxi driver from the airport, who also had two small children! We arrived just before seven and it hadn't opened yet so went for a short walk, literally and came back shortly after seven to find it packed! We did get a table, though within a short time there was a queue... More

Go here if you want tasty and authentic italian food for lunch - right in the main shopping area and so ideal for a quick bite to eat. The pasta is cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was really delicious served with good quality, fresh grated parmesan. Good espresso too.

We ate here a year ago and I promised that on this trip, this would be our first night dinner. Lived up to my memories. Very busy place and big...we watched probably 100 people directed to their second floor dining room. Friendly efficient waiters who really work, yet never miss a thing, and are unfailingly pleasant. Menu features pizzas, pastas,... More

Italian cuisine in Nice is abundant, but finding really fresh, good food is a delight. The lasagne was a big hit with our men... they served an entire 8 x 8 casserole dish right from the oven. We also had the eggplant, spaghetti, pizza and penne. EVERY dish was excellent. We found this place as a recommendation from the concierge... More

Almost at the end of the pedestrian zone , having looked at and dismissed numerous options on the way, we came across this little gem. On a January Saturday night, it appeared to be packed out with locals rather than tourists and seemed to be a good bet. It proved to be , we had a Linguine with lobster and... More

The food is good, big portion, pack by tourists, and some locals. They have a buffet antipasti or plat de journey which is a menu for the day or you can choose from the menu card. The place is pack , and tendency for the people serving especially the head waiter a bit brusque, and abrasive. My friend and I... More

The owner sits behind a huge menu directing the restaurant like a great orchestra.....abundance of excellent food...good service...very busy inside and out....The eggplant was the best I have ever had and this is always my dish of choice for Italian cuisine...noise level high...like being at a great party in Italy...

On a very wet Monday night in early December, there wasn’t much buzz around Nice. We decided an indoor pizza would fit the bill but, once inside Villa d'Este, we changed our mind and opted for a shared platter of mixed antipasti (€16.50) as a starter, followed by a spaghetti with clams & mussels (€18.50) for me and a cannelloni... I went there with a family member because one of our friends suggested us to go there because it had a good value for money which was actually pretty true as long as you want to eat pizza or maccheroni. i ordered one of those big portions of "maccheroni villa d'este"...they were supposed to be prepared following an italian recipe...
