Outstanding Food and Service

We loved this place. It reminded us of Yam T'cha in Paris, which is really saying something, as that place is off the charts. We had lunch at this restaurant. Spouse had tempura appetizer and beef tail. I had salmon on skewer with vegetables. Wines by the glass were very good. Amuse-bouche... read more

Here's a cautionary note for the relatively few who may care. After some grilling of the young Japanese serving woman, I was able to find out that three of the four warm main courses were cooked sous-vide, which means that the food you order isn't made from scratch, but that at some point in the recent past the chef put... We all had the tasting menu and I cannot tell you that we thought it was pretty bland although the service was great and the restaurant seating is nice. But the food is the most important thing and I really believe for the price $$$ , you are better off going to Le Boudoir which is right down the block... More

What a fantastic experience. The frontage of this little gem is unassuming and if you didn't know it was there, you perhaps wouldn't try it. We were welcomed into the restaurant by a very pleasant young lady and enjoyed a drink each. The menu was explained perfectly and she had a good knowledge of the wine. The food was outstanding!... We were expecting sushi. We're we suprised! A lovely small restaurant that serves French food with a slightly Asian twist. The servers were lovely Japanese women who tried very hard to serve all the tables. It was crowded, and we came when they opened, at 7:30 which was great. The rush happened at 8-8:30 and service became a little slower as... More

A Japanese girl asked me how I would like my duck steak? Bemused, I said medium, to allow them to get on with it. First course, served on a slate slab, was a thin fillet of raw bream marinated in vinegar and served with a cream, pepper and sesame sauce, a piece of eggplant, and an onion ring in tempura... More

We saved this restaurant for our final dinner after a week in Nice. Do make reservations because the dining room has only 12 tables. We were well pleased with our meal. There were two prix-fixe options for a Saturday evening. We splurged on the 7 course meal. Interesting Japanese influence on French cuisine. A great way to end a memorable... More

Eating here was an outstanding experience. Exciting new and different tastes. The food was served like small pieces of art tasting just as good as it looked. The service was superb. Never experienced anything like it. Rather expensive, but worth it. We'll be back next time in Nice.

We visited for lunch and will most probably do so again in the future. We had 2 x menu déjenuers, with dessert (29 €) and without (23 €). The price for the one with dessert was maybe 1-2 euros too much, but on the other hand I understand that some profit has to be made. Glass of wine was 5... More
