We had the ribs and duck. All the meat was cooked to perfection, succulent and tasty. The vegetables and potatoes were flavoursome. By far our favourite restaurant in Nice. Good prices. Friendly staff. A hidden gem, up a side alley. Very busy. So get there early!

Amazing food from a small restaurant in the old town. Stumbled upon this restaurant tonight and were very lucky to get in, many turned away. Food is Portuguese, plentiful and delicious. The service was amazing even though it was packed out. Highly recommend, book in advance though.

Good service. Excellent food for the money paid. The place is in a quiet road with nice ambient light on the outside. If you like a mix between Portuguese and French food try this one.

There are many reasonably priced restaurants in Nice. To be frank, it's difficult to be expensive given the massive amount of competition. Le Barbecue happens to be one of the nearest to our flat swap and, I think, one of the best in this category. The menu is quite straightforward but it does the basics very well. The highlight of... When walking around Vieux Nice you don't expect to find a good restaurant. In deed 9 out of 10 are tourist traps, but Le Barbecue is an exception. Food is good and plenty at a reasonable price, the waiters are nice and the owner, a Portuguese lady, is pretty fantastic.

Great good for a good price + nice staff. We had dinner here twice and we loved it. Only thing is that it's hard to get a table and it's a bit hidden in old town. Best to book a table a day ahead.

The portions are very big and the meat is very good. Better go empty stomach as it will be tough to finish the portions. Everything is perfect in this restaurant. Highly recommended

A "portugonostalgic" friend took me there and we were all full and happy. The place offer Portuguese specialities, but I have noticed they do pizzas as well. Portions are big, meat is good as well as fish. Have tried and liked their cod fish with cumin.
