This excellent local restaurant is just across the road from Nice's main railway station and is well worth looking for. The cooking is typical Nicois style and includes favourites like petit farcis, ravioli and salade nicoise. The lunchtime "formule" of main course, dessert and coffee for €13 is a bargain.

I come to know this place from the Telegraph travel guide website, according to which this is an affordable place to have great meal. It did just that and the sea bass fillet was amazing!

Restaurants in Nice can be difficult - either very rustic or haute cuisine. Voyageur Nissart is just a great local restaurant with a warm welcome and excellent French provincial cooking. Informal, good for families or couples.

Loved this place. A local friend took me here and it was just great. Three set menus to choose which offer 3 courses so I had the 20euro one but had a starter from the 17euro menu. My salmon and advocado was delish ! Then my main was beef stew with polenta (typical of the region). My dessert was tarted... More

We went for Sunday lunch before a show- so I didn't eat that much, as Im not really a lunch eater! However, I would adore to come back and have dinner here. The food was amazing. It's a lovely little atmospheric, friendly place and not on the main tourist tracks, so you need to make the effort to walk ten... More

I had rabbit. She had rare beef. Both were fresh, and good. Good portion, and nice service. 2 app, 2 mains, 2 desserts, and 1 bottle Cote de Rhone 50 euro.

The area south of the Nice Ville SNCF train station is not terribly upscale, and most of the area restaurants are unappealing. The Voyageur Nissart is a rare exception -- offering typical Nicoise food with good service and very reasonable prices. As other reviewers have pointed out, the fixed price menus are a good way to sample a variety of... More
