Lovely Nissart cuisine (not that I'm an expert)

My first visit to Nice, staying in the centre of town and wanting some local food we visited this great little bistro. We were lucky enough to get a table for 4 on a friday in May without booking. Good value, unpretentious tasty food. Reasonably priced wine. I would recommend

Our annual visit to Nice meant the obvious choice for our evening out was the Voyageur Nissart. Two nights we returned to this lovely little Bistro and the standards we've come to expect have remained. The staff were quick to welcome us back and seemed delighted that we had chosen to return to their restaurant. The feeling was mutual and... More

The place is very close to the train station and is the best option around. We were there in relatively low season (April) and we find a nice table without reservation. There are two different set menu options and varieties in these two. The atmosphere is good for couples. Staff is friendly to tourists.

Quite a cramped little bistro but very tasty homely rather than fine food. €52 for 2 x 3 course meals including a 1 litre pichet of wine - happy days!

In a place like Nice can be hard to find a reasonably priced restaurant which serves homemade food this is such place. Looking rather unassuming from the outside it offered a simple menu, a mix of local recipes and Italian influenced dishes. I had sardines which were perfectly gelled, a dessert, homemade, Swiss chard cake. A revelation. I also looked... More

Located only a few minutes away from the main train Nice station. Had a lovely meal with a very friendly and quick service. Children friendly restaurant. Very busy, would recommend to reserve a table in advance. Loved their pasta dishes and their 'salade Niçoise'. Nice way to discover the local cuisine. Bon appétit !

A popular welcoming restaurant presenting well prepared local specialities. One of the best places to eat near station.

Voyageur Nissart was perfect for a no-frills meal with CHEAP wine and very polite (English-speaking!) servers. When my husband and I finished our meal, we both agreed that nothing we ate "knocked our socks off," but everything was tasty enough. As for the value? Unrivaled! We started off with a Salade niçoise and the stuffed vegetables, our mains were the... More

Handy for and recommended by our hotel (the very good Nice Excelsior). A proper family business serving hearty authentic local fare in generous portions and at a modest price. Staff are notably warm-hearted and patient. I very much look forward to returning.
