A little gem

We were wandering around the lovely back streets of Nice, not far from the old town, when we came across this little gem. It's not easy to find as there's no name outside, and not sure if I could find it again! But what a find - a genuine authentic japanese restaurant. Reminds me of those... read more

This restaurant is one of the few "true" Japanese restaurants in Nice and actually one of the pionneers of true Japanese food in Nice. Owner and chef is Japanese and waiting staff is too. The menu is fairly limited and at nights there is usually only one menu to choose from at a price of 32 euros without desert. Quality... More

My wife and I stumbled upon this place by accident. We really enjoyed the food and found the flavors and presentation to be excellent. The host had very limited English and we were only given the set menu. So we did not have much choice about what we were offered. Nevertheless it was an excellent meal.

We finally got a chance to check out this restaurant in Nice and I'm glad we did. The degustation menu is very well thought out and all of the dishes were excellent. I felt that the execution of each dish was perfect and above all the chef seasoned everything perfectly. I have travelled to Japan extensively so always judge Japanese... More

When you walk past this place, it doesn't look like a restaurant. In fact, it looks closed. But if you can read the little sign and open the door, you are in for a treat! As soon as my friend and I walked in we felt welcomed and since we didn't speak much french, the waitress made an effort to... More

Good Japanese restaurant, friendly welcome, decent prices, good food. The service is quick, the staff very professional, plates are fulfilled. when you leave, you can smell the kitchen on clothes, but everything is good as a whole.

Recommended by a local wine shop owner, this dining experience was wonderful. The owner was charming and helped us translate the chalkboard menu. We enjoyed a moderately priced bottle of French red; perfect with our meal. We ordered miso soup and the salad and bento box vegetables were delicious. Gosh, the tempura shrimp and grilled salmon were scrumptious. Can't wait... More

Great restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of vieux nice. The food was exceptional and accommodating for vegetarians despite the set menu. The restaurant itself was lovely and the staff very friendly. Amazing sake.
