Ok food...not so good service

Of course when going into a turistic area, wherever that is, you always want to avoid the commercial/bad/expensive experience...and i believe this kinda was one of them. Food was not terrible, it was ok..i guess more ok than bad. Paella missed some rice...it was a lot more of sea food and not a... read more

This is by far the worst experience I had in a restaurant ever!!!! I was with my family and we all ordered a three course menu of 30 euro. The service was absolutely horrible, the worst I ever experienced in a restaurant. They threw all the cutlery on the table, wanted us to order as quickly as possible, didn't say... More

Very welcoming to our young family. Relaxed easy going atmosphere. Good choice of menu items. Daughter loved the octopus. Abundance of fresh seafood. Definitely a highlight of our stay in Nice.

You always have that one restaurant visit during your vacation that just wasn't that great! Well - this was it! The restaurant is clearly always stuffed with people which makes you think that this must be good! Well, if you don't expect to much of your food I guess many could live with it! The servants really tried but we're... More

Food was average to poor depending on the menu choices made. Service was the worst I have experienced. Cutlery thrown across the table, diners pushed sideways to allow waiting staff through and rudeness was incredible.

Great location and great food. My wife and I had the seafood Paella......it was fantastic, full of generous portions of various seafood. We could only get through about 2/3 s of it.....a first time ever I couldn't devour every morsel at a restaurant in my life.

Lovely location! That is the best part of this restaurant. In old town area, just a block away from the promenade, right aside the daily market! Location can't get any better! And variety of sea food - WOW! Service was okay. Not great. Food was good! And very well presented. Rest room of the restaurant was not clean and this... More

OK lets be honest if you are in Cours Saleya then you are in tourist central, so anywhere along here will be expensive and average. But in that sea of average then I would recommend Freddy's. The seafood is the reason to go, its well prepared and they know what they are doing, but I would stay away from the... More

A good sales pitch outside to get you in but that's where the service ends, a dour head waiter on his electronic tablet takes you're order and your just another customer. Slow services then ensues with waiters not sure where they have to take their orders. A cardinal sin of one meal being delivered 5 minutes before the 2nd customers.... More

....in fact not excited at all. Whilst being a must visit, atmospheric attraction for its architecture, colours, vibrancy, and markets, Cours Saleya despite its many restaurants does not do high end cuisine. This can be attested to by most restaurants having to put coloured photographs of their dishes outside, and employing attractive young ladies to 'hook-in' passing tourists. Chez Freddy... More
