Not "the best" in Nice, but certainly excellent.

I'm not sure how they got the number 1 spot on tripadvisor but they certainly deserve to be among the top restaurants in town. The place is small and cramped. I would like to see them operate in a place that is more befitting the quality of the food. The food took quite a while to arrive and we... read more

We visited the restaurant based on the Tripadvisor reviews during our stay in Nice. The place is quite small and is a family run business. The owners are incredibly friendly. The meat of the wild duck is so succulent and tasty. It was my first time eating Foie Gras and I have to admit I didn't like it, but the... More

We recently spent a week in Nice and this place was by far the very best dinner that we had. Everything was perfect. The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection and Marie and her husband were superb hosts. They made us feel right at home and gave us a authentic french home cooked meal experience. I would highly recommend... More

Marie was amazing with her wine suggestions and was very helpful. The duck is to die for and her husband, (the cook), is extremely friendly as well. We were excited to learn that the foie gras is not made from animal cruelty techniques and is a family recipe that I for one am happy that has survived till now. Make... More

Don't be blinded by the size and first impression of this place. It’s a jewel incognito! The food was fantastic, no posh and unnecessary decoration, but solid good south-western French specialities that come in unbelievable big portions! A true delight. What however made the experience complete was the hospitality of Marie and her husband (the cook) Jean-Michel. They looked after... More

We had dinner at this tiny family owned restaurant on our last night in Nice. The food is simply amazing! We had 2 slightly different dishes, which are both made of ducks. The ingredients used( potatoes, vegetables) tasted really fresh and the duck meat was very tender and juicy, especially the duck skin was cooked just nice, crispy, not too fat... More

This is one of my best restaurants in Nice, husband whom is the chef and the lovely wide Maria from Belgium. My all-time favorite is the half-duck served with foie gras. It's very easy to find, just a few minutes walk the Avenue. I suggest you make a reservation before going as there are only a few tables available.

My husband and I lived in and traveled around Europe for two years and love food. We found La Route du Miam on our trip to Nice in July 2014 and this was our favorite restaurant in Europe hands down. We each had duck (both slightly different signature dishes) which came with food gras and amazing potatoes cooked in duck... More

We decided to book into the number one restaurant in Nice thanks to reviews on Trip Advisor before we even left home. Not quite knowing what to expect we found this unassuming restaurant quite easily just off the tram line - in fact we arrived early and were welcomed in by Marie who encouraged us to choose where we wanted...
