Good value and tasty dishes but the Foodie in me was a little disappointed

Chez Acchiardo is a family run business and friendly staff offering simple local dishes that are quite flavorful. The atmosphere is lively and seems to draw a lot of locals as well as tourists. This restaurant was recommended by our host who had mentioned that for local cuisine, to go to Acchiardo. The restaurant is not open on the weekend so make reservations if you can. We did not have reservations and therefore we went early (6:30pm) to get a table. We had the stuffed vegetables with veal (local dish), the fish and the... More

We visited Nice in May 2015 and once again dined at Acchiardos. As usual the food was good and in fact we went each night (three times). We all three of us had different meals each night, equally as good. My favourite was the lamb followed by the brulee. The service was excellent. The waiters are brilliant, they recognised us... I was in doubt whether or not to give this restaurant a bad rating based on a bad personal experience but I decided to be fair and to share my story here. After hearing many positive things about this place from locals living in Nice, we decided to pay a visit yesterday together with some colleagues. The moment we came... More

We first dined at Chez Acchiardo 4 years ago. It was lovely and we were quite happy that it is still lovely 4 years later. It's a family business - very gracious and handsome family. I always joke that besides a great dining experience I was able to meet the two best looking men on the Cote d'Azur, but I... More

Unusually, this Restaurant is closed at the weekend an does not take credit cards. Don't let put that you off trying to make a reservation or trying a walk in. The prices of both the tasty food and the drinks are attractive. The menu is not very large but interesting and the meal will not disappoint. Don't miss!

Family restaurant, big long tables where people are seated together, good opportunity to chat with your neighbors. Delicious homeade nicois food and an institution in the old town.

I asked the waiter what he would recommend, and he suggested the steak with anchovies and spices on top. The waiter said it was a recipe that the grandmother of the original owner used many years ago. I am an adventurous sort, especially when it comes to food, and I was completely rewarded with this choice. The meal was excellent!
