This is a great restaurant, friendly, cosy, you will share a table unless you fill it. The food is all home, well the chef cooks it from fresh to a very high standard. Even saw him making little biscuits. You will need to book unless you are lucky.

Food in Nice can be expensive ( and ordinary) the food here is well priced and superb. A very small place ( make a reservation) it's a little hard to find. But it's worth it. Delicious well priced wine as well. Compare this to some of the Michelin starred restaurants in Nice. Betcha you might like this more.

I am from Nice, as is my whole family and I am very proud to say that this restaurant shows best what our traditional cuisine can do at its best. I felt like in my grand-ma's kitchen where all flavors were here, excellent food, taste and presentation. The menu was varied and I can't wait to return. Don't expect modern... More

My girlfriend and I were lucky to get a table without reservation. We had to share it with a few strangers but that was more than pleasant as we all enjoyed our time very much. I got a beef tartare for starters followed by a lamb stew as a main and a peach salad with raspberry mousse on top for... More

We went to Chez Palmyre for lunch as else it was fully booked. So book well in advance if you want to make areservation. They have a menu à 17€ - you have a choice of 4-5 entrées, 4-5 main courses and 3-4 desserts. This is a very good deal, and you eat better than anywhere else in Nice. It... More

According to the reviews this restaurant gets very busy and we were extremely lucky to get a table the night we ate here as we arrived without a booking. The waiter was very helpful and the dishes were explained to us. We both had 3 course set menu - for the astonishing price of 17 euros! I enjoyed a tasty... More

I've just read the (very few) one star reviews on this site for this bistro. Most of them are simply complaining that they were 20 minutes late and lost their table. You are told, at the time of booking, about this arrangement AND THEY MEAN IT. Anyway, it's rude to be late, so I say "serves them right". Then there... More

Small little 24 seater restaurant full of charm with fantastic food, warm and friendly service. Menu was on the plats du jour board which I'm sure changes often. Everything we had was wonderful. Four to five each of appetizer, main course and dessert. Taste and presentation beats some Michelin star restaurants. I especially loved the burrata with tomatoes and perhaps... More

This was one of the most delicious spots we came across in the south of France. The value and food quality gets top marks! It's frequented by local regulars - that really says something! Warm, friendly service. There is no menu, just a prix fixe menu with 4 options for each course. I recommend my selection of the avacado/shrimp appetizer,... More
