Delicious!

We were lucky to stop by at lunchtime and reserve a table for 7:30 that night. It was nice the owner could fit us in and on a Friday night! The menu changes daily so if you reserve ahead of time, you take potluck on what will be on the menu that day/evening. After looking at some of the... read more

The best meal in Nice so far, so happy to find this little gem. Cosy, very busy and intimate, a true French little bistrot, just as we love it. Cheap too; three courses 17 EUR. Excellent food and service, a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back! Now our favourite!

You have to book in advance if you really wanna experience Chez Palmyre and not to be disappointed. Finely located; In the back streets of old town, short walk away from the centre of town. Good service even thou all the tables were full when we were there. Try home wines. Good food (if you want to experience something local... More

What to say? Make sure to book ahead and be ready to sit in a small convivial space. 4 menu choices for starter, main & dessert. You pick 3 for 17 euro. It's a bargain 'cause the food's excellent, especially if you're up for the real French deal!

Chez Palmyre is one of the few remaining traditional Bistros of Nice. They are consistently booked solid, but we persisted waited for a space and had a delicious 17€ three course lunch. The wine was good and inexpensive, the service fast and friendly, and all in all a very good experience.

My husband and I made a last minute reservation for chez palmyra and enjoyed the experience. There is a set menu with 3 choices of a starter, main course and desert. We ordered different items and loved sharing our choice with little morsels for sharing. The potato and leek soup was very different, but tasty, pasta with pesto and arugula... More

Located in old town and if you blink you might miss it. It is old world and charming. Warm setting and very affordable prix fixe. We experience one person working the front and serving hot home-style goodness at our communal table. There are other individual tables availalbe (4 tops). This place is popular and reservations must be made well in... More

The dinner proves that traditional doesnt always mean good, just like people dont necessarily grow with age. Given the 300+ good and excellent reviews here, I did expect more as a tourist. Lets start with the soup of the day, a pumpkin and potato soup. Normal taste, but too watery when compared to most of the soup I had in... More

Let's not talk about the small space where you liberally touch the elbow of the person next to you when you are holding your knife. The food was terrible. The worst in our 11-days trip in S. France. The cod fish I ordered has zero flavour, not fresh, and the texture was like porridge. The awful part was when we... More

Back in Nice for a week, forgot to book, the now obligatory 2 weeks in advance, but they said to ring in or check when passing in the morning if a cancellation had been made and luckily enough there was! We had the smoked salmon and blinis and oeuf murette starters, so very nice. Mains of cod and beef with... More
