We stumbled upon this place before it was open and decided to come back when it did to check it out, and glad we did right at 7:30 because it was immediately packed. We managed to snag a spot in the middle of a larger table already occupied by two other parties but were in for the experience. Only pre=fix... More

Very much enjoyed our three-course set meal at a reasonable 17 euros. Food was tasty and very well-presented. Started with veg soup and smoked salmon/soft cheese cheesecake, followed by rabbit/stuffed cabbage and pear pannacotta/choc pot viennois. Cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but well worth the wait.

Came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Excellent reasonably priced menu. Buzzy, clean and charming impeccable service. In the old town. Must book. Quirky owners. Could be shut out if you don't arrive on time we were warned - worth getting there. Not open weekends.

Perhaps we were set up for disappointment after all the incredible reviews; but we just found the menu on the night we visited a bit, well, dull. I had the mussel mousse, which was ok, and my friend had the vegetable soup, which is as exciting as it sounds. The other starters were pickled leeks with boiled egg and croque... More

Long wanted to eat here but it has never been open or tables available when we tried. Finally made it for lunch on a wet January day and had an excellent three-course lunch. Starter of squash flan with mussels was the star: a solid mousse of orange pumpkin with a very concentrated mussel sauce with a few whole mussels in... More

Small restaurant in the old city. Menu gives you 2 choices, changes every 2 weeks. Best Boeuf Bourgignon I ever had (and I usually don't like it!) For dinner it's a Must to make reservations well ahaed.

Most probably the best choice in Nice if you want to enjoy some high quality cuisine niçoise in a very friendly and domestic environment. I went several times at Palmyre and it never disappointed me. With a fixed price of € 15 per person, you can enjoy a menu including first course, second course and dessert, drinks are paid for... More

Yet another trip to Chez Palmyre and I just add to everyone else's superlatives, great fresh produce, imaginatively cooked but always staying true to Classic French styles. No better value in Nice old town. A restaurant which knows exactly what it's doing and does it amazingly well, this in itself is a rare find. Can't wait until the next visit.

This restaurant is consistently excellent. Reservations are a must weeks in advance. Fresh food at a reasonable price. This is where you can spend 2 hours having dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. If you come to Nice and don't dine here, you are missing out!
