Looking for Great Seafood in Nice?

The food was perfect. Delicious fruits of the sea. Expertly prepared and great tasting. We chose to dine in the Bistrot. It was way to crowded, so much so that it affected our experience. We will choose the more formal room next time. Good value, tucked away a few blocks from the med.

The cooking here is of a high standard. However, please note that it is not a bistro, it is an expensive restaurant ( "fine dining" as it is known in England). Our meal was fine. The roast duck was good according to my companion; my rack of lamb was fine, though I cooked my own rack a couple of weeks... More

We have been eating at Viviers for about 5 years, the set lunch has always been very good and a la carte is super. We often take friends here and they are always delighted. We booked for 6 this week and we thought it was just about average. The first course and wine were good, celeriac and a good Rose... More

This restaurant was recommended to us because it was near our hotel (the Excelsior). The chef received the honor of "meilleur ouvrier de France" a prestigious award. We ordered fresh sardines and scampi raviolis, a very generous amount of scampis in a beautiful pasta. My boyfriend ordered the duck and I had the steak with bordelaise sauce, typical French fare... We had our first dinner in Nice here and loved everything about the place - light casual atmosphere, fresh delicious food and utmost friendly owner, Jacques Rolancy. He personally served us and introduced us to delicious Chartreuse:-) What a perfect start to our honey moon. We will definitely come back!

Excellent service and lovely food. Beautifully cooked fresh fish and rose wine. A few glasses of champagne on the house as we were celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary.

We visited this restaurant a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. A year on we paid another visit and were not disappointed. The restaurant is off the tourist track and the clientèle appeared to know the restaurant and were making repeat visits. In fact, the couple next to our table were on their 7th visit in... More

5 minutes North from Promenade des Anglais take advantage of a real restaurant. The bistrot advantage of the neighboured high - end restaurant. You get a full menu for the price of bad foods.

This is an excellent restaurant with great french food for a reasonable price. Very much worth a visit. The street can be a bit noisy if you sit outside. The menu changes every day and were satisfied every time.

Looked good from the outside but more like fine dining than a bistrot in our opinion. Service and ambience was great but sigh, not the food. Chef owner was in the dining room and we tried to be friendly but he was arrogant. We had artichoke salad and it might have had a little truffle oil. Wish it said so... More
