Something different

We were recommended here from the hotel we were staying at, and a very good recommendation. More of a restaurant than a bistro but very very good. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming whilst being professional. Good choice of meals, although predominately fish. Extensive wine list, with something for all... read more

The whole evening was exellent. Special thanks to our waitress Aurelia. Lobster risotto was exellent and grand marnier souffle was worth to try.

We were recommended to Le Bistrot des Viviers by the concierge at Le Negresco. The waitress recommended the special evening menu, and it was absolutely first class. The service, food and drinks were exceptional

Les Viviers is made up of 2 dining experiences one is a bistro and the other, Rolancy's, fine dining restaurant. My husband and I celebrated my 50th birthday with a superb meal in Rolancy's, recommended by our hotel. The surroundings are relaxed, contemporary, elegant and light with a great ambience complete with table cloths - refreshing! Very professional, personal service.... More

The full name of the restaurant is Le Bistrot des Viviers, which is in Rue Alphonse just N of Blvd V Hugo. This was a hotel recommendation. I was expecting more of a bistro from the name, but it is really a proper restaurant. I had an excellent piece of cod - beautifully cooked, a glass of house white wine... More

On a damp Monday evening we strolled around the corner from our hotel (Exedra, see separate review, not good) hoping that we could get in here on our last night in Nice, we were lucky, the bistro side had 2 free tables, so we settled down for what turned out to be a truly memorable meal. I started with the... More

We chose this restaurant because it had good reviews and was close to our hotel, we are so very glad that we did. We sat outside which did mean that you sometimes had to wait a while before getting attention as it was very busy inside. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, explaining things on the menu. We both... More

We dined at Les Viviers on a Saturday night. The restaurant was fully booked, and yet the service and the meal were both first-rate. It was expensive and worth it. An extraordinary French meal of oysters, bouillabaisse, and the 3-course menu du jour. The soufflé Grand Marnier was perfection. The white wine recommended by the server was Lampe de Meduse... More

We had a very nice dinner in this restaurant, the waitress was very kind and the food special. I would certainly recommend this place. We ended up spending nearly 95 euro each, but they offer also a much cheaper menu of the day for 35 euro not including beverages. There are some flaws though. We made a reservation online for which... Found this place, when looking for a previous restaurant on the same street. It was a Friday night and we arrived at about 8.00pm. Soon it was full. The service was impeccable and the daily choices outstanding. We had a John Dory fish for two, with recommended local wine. It was clear that this was somewhere that single women felt... More
