Its always sad for me to write a review that is not raving on some level of a place that takes care of so much detail. Unfortunately its sad when not enough detail goes into the taste. Of course everyones taste is different so I am show there will be people who love the subtlety of a meal here -... More

My husband booked us at this restaurant as the big meal on our trip and I am so glad that he did. The restaurant is located about 200 meters from the Italian border, tucked on the side of the road. They have their own garden with herbs and veggies and a number of fruit trees that they use for meals... More

We were transported as if to a Thousand and One nights of culinary delights and pure art. Chef Mauro Colagreco is a creative genius who seduces you with his understanding, presentation, and unusual combination of pure, fresh ingredients. Every detail has been well thought out. His staff provide impeccable attention and are able to transmit their Chef's philosophy and high... More

This restaurant may be "out of the way" but it certainly is going in the right direction. The recent reviews have expressed our feelings about Mirazur, and Chef Mauro has managed to present excellent food at reasonable prices (85 euro for a discovery menu of 7 courses). The Rudder fish was the highlight of our meal but all the dishes... More

Mirazur is one of those few places with discrepant ratings - highly ranked on the S. Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list (currently #11) but with "only" two Michelin stars. After the lunch here, I believe its place on the Pellegrino list is justified and perhaps it will be upgraded to three stars soon. Menton is a bit off the... More

Managed to get a table in a prime spot with a view over the Bay of Garavan. We started with a glass of champagne and had the 'discovery' meal that had six courses each more spectacular than the last. Wine is expensive though so choose carefully. Had an opportunity to meet Mauro the 2 Michelin star chef and he was... More

Been going, on our own or as a family, or kids on their own, for over 6 years, as it progressed from 1* to 2*. Consistently brilliant. Imaginative and delicious. Stunning views and great staff (who remember you). Mauro is a genius. Faultless.

We went there to celebrate my wife birthday and were charmed not only by the place (nice view on the sea/Menton) but above by the EXCELLENT meal we've had (my wife and I are quite good cook). We took the 6 dishes menu with "accord mets- vins". Everything was perfect (service, dishes...) and we found astonishing flavors or combination (peas... More
