I hate writing bad reviews. If you can't say something nice, etc., etc. but if one reader avoids this tourist trap, this review is successful. The surprising thing is that there are worse rated restaurants in Menton. The location is killer - as in the wait staff has to do this daredevil thing... read more

We decided to go off piste and try pot luck in Menton without reading the reviews first. The result - the worst meal we've had in Nice/Monaco/Menton by far! As it was a nice sunny day we thought a nice table by the sea would be pleasant, but unfortunately all others were full or the menu didn't entice us. L'Exocet... More

We read the previous reviews just after we had sat down and ordered so were very concerned. However we liked it so much we went back twice! The waiter, whilst not over friendly, was polite, quick and efficient. The food was very tasty, well presented and the set menu was excellent value for the price, given that we were enjoying... It looked so nice here, and we were welcomed nicely, but the food was terrible. Our first course was coquille gratiné. Undoubtedly they had been deep frozen. They were like rubber. But than came our main courses and they were even worse. My fried calamars were still raw inside and had a white colour. My friends mussels were terrible, and... More

Beach dining location.. we had the 20 euro menu, which included coquille st.jacques appetizer, grilled sea bass with peperonato and potatoes, finishing with a carmelized creme dessert. Great view, parking lot 5 minutes walk (free on sunday) Highly recommended!

Being close to our hotel and on the seafront this is easy to find... We were immediately welcomed by who I thought was the proprietors wife given a choice of table and taken to our seats... Although compact the tables were very clean and nicely decorated.. The menu was given straightaway and in English... The choice of meals was extensive... More

Right on the seafront in the middle of Menton, this restaurant has simple and good family style food. Nothing fancy here, but all was reasonably good. My wife had a Lieu with artichokes, which she thought really good. I had Espadon which was OK. With a glass of wine and coffe for me (not my wife), we spent 43 Euros... More

Poor service and bad quality of the food. First and last time we have been there. Lunch was overpriced and they must dislike Dutch and British as the other guests French and Italian got a much better service.

This was the first place on our holiday that we "took a chance on" without reading any reviews beforehand - BIG MISTAKE!! The only thing it has going for it is it's location and that is it. We simply wanted a cocktail and a beer whilst watching the sun go down. The waiter clearly had attitude that we didn't want... More
