Lunch at Vladimir's

This restaurant was recommended by our friends who spend several months a year in Menton. We had lunch and ordered the "plat du hour". Excellent food, excellent service. The decor is very nice, new and clean. Closed on Mondays.

On our first night in Menton, my wife and I decided not to walk too far for some Dinner, (we had rented an apartment almost across the road from Le VII). Although we only had a main course; by the time we had finished, by way of some lovely Crostini, a little appetiser and a small dish of caramelised Pineapple... More

After spending over 30 years as a "Tourist" in Menton, I have eaten in most places. Food is my main interest in life and therfore I have to write this little love letter to Le VII. Many restaurants in Menton are quite plain. Here is a restaurant who loves what they are doing. Both service and the kitchen do their... More

My husband and I visited here on a Sunday evening. There was just chef and a very helpful professional waiter at work. You can sit outside to eat but if you pick the right table you can see chef busy at work in the kitchen. We had the degustation menu which at 45 euros is very good value. There was... More

The reservation was made for us by a regular customer of VII's. One of her favourite dining spots. We were early...the first to arrive that evening so it was very quiet until it filled up. The decor is minimal but attractive. Flowers candles and linens for the tables which are well spaced but few. The service was helpful, knowledgable and very... More

A restaurant with lots of ambience and an attentive and informed waiter who speaks good English. We had the 4 course degustation menu and whilst there was nothing wrong with the food it did not rise to any great level. Each course was satisfactory but lacked imagination and creativity. The wine list is quite small and a bit expensive. Overall... More

Very professional waiter who looks after your every need. It's a small restaurant and a very good one. The food is delicious and the "formule du jour" (if chosen) makes for a very good value, but top quality, meal. An excellent meal, cooked perfectly, and served in a lovely intimate room.

The restaurant is small but the service is pure excellence and the food is exquisite! The sommelier who is also the only waiter is very knowledgable, speaks three languages and looks after you all the time! Prices are fair!

My husband and I ate here for the last night of our holiday. Very well presented meal, not enough choice and no pre dinner drinks apart from wine. The one waiter was very busy but polite. It could have benefited from air conditioning as the evening was very hot. Still, these criticisms don't detract from the excellent food.

Went here ahead of a concert so had an early meal at opening time. I had mentioned this when booking and the waiter remembered. We were welcomed and looked after by a singe waiter, who was the only front of house person we saw. Small restaurant, air conditioned, excellent food and wine selection. There is a four-course fixed price menu,... More
