creative menu and delicious food

Felt high-class and was slightly over-prized, like most restaurants in France, but the food was good (and water and bread are for free). For dessert we shared a big piece of lemon tart, one of the best pastries I have ever tried. The service was quick and nice and the owner's dog very cute.

Why the best - for two good reasons - the owner is gorgeous with staff like her - the menu is adventurous & interesting & they have wonderful bread

This is a stylish and polished restaurant, the one in which you want to bring a girl you want to impress. The menu is vast and quite complicated the first time you read it (very long names), but pretty much every choice is a good one (I taste almost everything that is on the menu every single summer). I recommend... More

Fish courses to die for and the dessert of the holiday by far! We had mixed grill of fish and the prawn main- both fantastic quality. Massive portions so only 2 courses for us- the chocolate fondant was top class- highly recommended! Friendly and attentive staff.

In a nutshell, the whole experience at this restaurant was poor last night. Slow and unfriendly service, stale bread, the duck main was tough and tasteless, the chicken portion in the mixed grill was overcooked and very dry, the grilled vegetable side arrived lukewarm (at best), and the salad accompanying the meals was very very tired. We left feeling as... More

We were stuck for something to do so called in at Café Sud for a drink, when we saw the quality of the food coming out of the restaurant we had to try it. We were very impressed, all the courses we had were extremely tasty and full of flavour, the service was excellent considering they were quite busy. All... More

It's not always easy to please seven women - all with an interest in food and with differing tastes - though Cote Sud managed to do that with resounding success. We were welcomed by the very friendly manageress - she is charming. And the waiters were helpful and smiling (they could teach some of our surly British staff a thing... More

We have tried several restaurants in Menton, but returned to this one. The caprese is one of the best we have tasted. Firm and sweet tomatoes, topped with fresh pesto. The pizza was great, dessert too. Funfact: the 'bouncers' from the not-so-good restaurants at Place aux Herbes come here to eat...

This restaurant is always full so make reservations before visiting. Very fresh interpretation of well known dishes. One of the best in menu is a mix of grilled seafood.. Each peace was cooked to perfection (even tuna)

The restaurant looked inviting and we'd seen the queues previously. What a disappointment - staff very pleasant and first course ok but worried immediately as it arrived so quickly. Took a breath and the main courses of whole sole were dumped in front of us - zero presentation skills and didn't actually smell too good. Discussed with the Manageress who... More
