Highly recommend this restaurant

We love this restaurant, always book when we are in Frejus, on average three times over the summer, enjoy the cuisine every time, lovely ambience, and very friendly chef and staff, highly recommend you visit. John and Ann Lee, Rossendale England.

With only 24 covers and the chef/patron's wife serving, the food is superb and great value for money. A limited menu, which is a good sign, and lunch for only 22Eu this restaurant is what Bib Gourmand is about. If you enjoy good food beautifully presented without the normal Michelin formality then make sure you try this fantastic little restaurant.

Amazing french cuisine and very good value. A very enjoyable experience with excellent service. A set menu at €28 per person offered plenty of choice, we each ordered different courses for starter, main and dessert and each was as nice/nicer as the other. The restaurant doesn't have many tables and last service is at 9.30, we arrived at 9ish without... More

This is the third time I have visited this restaurant and each time it seems to have improved. Waitress smiling a little more, but the food from the 40 euro fixed menu was very excellent all round. Perhaps the foie gras was more cooked than I prefer but its accompaniment with rose grapefruit was a welcome change from the usual... More

We both ate from the 28 Euro menu which offers great value given the quality of food and additional touches like complimentary amuse bouches, breads and petit fours (irrespective of whether you have coffee or not). Cooking is precise and well presented - with salmon ravioli and pork medallions really excelling. Service is just right too - attentive and personal.... More

L'Amandier was recommended to us by a local bar owner, the restaurant was immaculate and had a lovely atmosphere, the staff were very accomodating, the prices are very reasonable and the food is absolutely exquisite I would definitely go back!

The fixed menus are separated by 12 euros, but the number of courses are identical and indeed the expensive menu seemed more restricted. However I was in a party of 6 and half of us had the expensive and half had the cheaper fixed menu. Three of us had supreme of chicken from the cheaper menu and it was overcooked.... More

We have eaten a couple of times now at L'Amandier and it is refreshing to find such a restaurant in a town where fine dining is difficult to find. The restaurant is small which is no bad thing (so make sure you book if planning on going here) and the vaulted dining room has a nice feel to it. The... More

We have lunched at the Amandier for years. The place is delightfully small, located in the Old Town, reservations recommended, definetly worth the effort to enjoy the creative cusine. Modest wine list and rather impersonal service, but the Chef.........chat with him if possible, a delightful gentleman and very talented. Bon appetit.

My husband and I couldn't stop talking about the talent of the chef at this restaurant after our recent visit. Boy does he know how to cook! And he is tucked away in little Frejus - we would have liked to have taken him home with us and shared him with more of the world. We told his wife, who... More
