Truly wonderful dinner / experience. One of our best.

The chef created wonderful dishes which were new to us and outstanding to eat. Fois gras on a grilled peach, an amazing fig dessert, great fish entre. Truly, if you are in the area, this is a great opportunity.

Food is ok, but: Very limited menu (2 starters and 2 main dishes) - the explanation is that "dishes are manually prepared", so what? Wine list has many "sold out" items - the explanations is that "we work with wine producers and not big stores", so what? The waitress miss completely the "customer" perspective. Overall, an upsetting experience...just to forget.

When we arrived down the little alleyway, a little early for our reservation we were accommodated with out a problem. Our French is not the best but our hostess spoke English very well. The food was seasonal, delicious and beautifully prepared, with some wonderful surprises. I had the "surprise" menu that was using quail as the "secret" ingredient. The entre... More

Very good chef, every dish was a real surprise. Seasonal products cooked just before being served. Short but very good wine selection.

Very homely. They have their daughter and their pug roam around the restaurant as if it were their own lounge. Loved the food. Was lucky to find it. Only to realise it was recommended in my lonely planet guide. Found it by luck and it was well worth it. Tasty, simple, homely, comfort food. Highly recommend it.

Lovely restaurant, what more can I say. We were greeted enthusiastically by (I believe) the owner's wife who spoke excellent English and took the time to go through the whole menu with us. Only three choices for each course but that was not a problem. The restaurant itself was imaginatively and pleasantly decorated with a quirky charm. The food was... More

Tucked down a narrow side alley off the main square in Grasse this restaurant is definitely worth seeking out. We just had lunch there & were 1 of only 2 tables but I think that is probably unusual. The menu was limited to a choice of just 3 dishes per course but still offered great variety & every dish we... More

Located in a narrow street ten steps away from a square which featured a couple of restaurants with lots of tourists inside, was Lou Candeloun. We have found this place, owned by a chef and his wife, using a French guide, 'Le Routard'. A small, cosy and beautifully decorated room had no more than 9 tables. However, everything we have... While visiting Grasse with friends, we decided to hop into a restaurant nearby a little peaceful square in the old part of town. As it was the weekend, the lunch menu at €32 was available. We opted for the panfried gooseliver with gravy, excellent quality of gooseliver and cooked to perfection, a very refreshing lobster terrine, for main course, the... More
