Great french food

Its a great place for romantic dining. Staff is very welcoming and understands clients well. The chef has even adapted the menu for my wife who is allergic to eggs. Staring from the kir violette as appetizer to the dessert, all the food was fresh and delicious. Dishes had balance in flavors and... read more

It is worth the hunt to find the restaurant as the chef is a genius. No 'nouvelle cuisine' here. This is true 'Oldvelle' cooking. The quality is exceptional and you must have his signature dish the Lou Fassum. A three meat football in cabbage. Heavenly. The starters and deserts are all a treat but we go for the Lou Fassum.... One of the best restaurants in the area. Beautifully prepared provencal food. Fabulous wines - especially the white called Palette. Service is discreet and professional. The view down towards the Mediterranean is stunningly beautiful. One of my favourite restaurants.

We had a booking for 8pm and the weather was a little chilly, however we were guided outside probably because the views over Cannes bay are stunning especially when night fell and there are twinkling lights to be seen all around the hills and bay, indeed a very romantic setting. We ordered an aperitif, and as my husband said he... More

Nice terrace overlooking the valley, but very windy. The menu is short and pretentious. We chose terrine de fois gras, dégustation de fromages and roasted lamb with ratatouille. HAd to wait 45' for the terrine that was served cold so why wait? the cheeses where served without an explanation of the sense of the déegustation. The ratatouille served with the... More

We ate here as a family and although the setting was nice the overall evening was a little disappointing, waiting for an aperitif for 15 minutes in the hot sun was not a good start and although the food was good it seemed to have the idea of being fine dining but without that extra special touch. The staff were... More

Sitting on the terrace overlooking the Grasse valley is on of the most beautiful venues in the area. The welcome is superb. Mrs RUZ runs the front while Emmanuel runs the kitchen. His foix gras is always excellent, his octopus salad delicious but if you are driving here come hungry and have the Lou Fassum. Three meats simmered for hours,... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. The setting is lovely, views great(shame about adjacent road but not very intrusive) . The menu is very small, however extremely tasty. We both had lobster ravioli to start, delicious and delicate flavours. Then I had the fish which was stunning and my husband had the lamb also good. Two desserts to... More
