Pros: Imaginative regional food served in copious portions. Fresh ingredients, swift pleasant service. Very extensive if expensive wine list. Cons Place is small and fills quickly, tables are too close to each other. Reservations a must

Went there for dinner with friends. The food was very good, so was the wine. Nice atmosphere, but dogs are allowed, so you may find yourself eating next to one. It is a bit pricey for what it is.

This is a small brasserie just off the Rue D'Antibes. The long tables resemble a school refectory and there is very little space We visited in December and it opened at 1930 and was more or less full by 2000. It is very popular with locals. The waiters were very pleasant and worked very hard under difficult conditions. The fact... More

Atmospheric little brasserie 3 streets back from the seafront in Cannes, specialising in rich meat (veal, venison, duck, liver, sweetbreads) and locally caught seafood. Good for couples or large groups.

The best home-style cooked food I've had in France to date! If you want somewhere that's cozy and non-pretentious, la Cave is an absolute must!! My sister joined me for the weekend from the UK and we couldn't have chosen a better spot for French culture and delicious food.

If you like the old time French cooking you will love La Cave. Fois Gras, Escargots, Ris, Canard petit farce you name it they have it on the menu that has not changed in years. Why? Because they do not have to ! Ceps and Giroles are poelee or used in the sauces with the meats. If you are looking... More

Great food, fine service and delicious wines... I truly recommend this place! Although it does not look like much from the outside, it is a real honest place - don't hesitate.

The food is fine but expensive. However our waiter spoilt the evening by his rude and aggressive behaviour. Although sometimes poor service can be funny, this just made us feel belittled and angry. The food would merit 3 stars but I've reduced this to 1 in light of the rotten service and poor value.

We went to so many places in France and had the most amazing food and attentive service, but in Cannes, after following the suggestion of a French colleague who raves about this place and the good reviews we read here, we were truly disappointed with the rudeness of the staff (my French is not perfect, sorry), the average (not to... Really very good food and remarkably decent service for Cannes which prides itself on awful service as a rule. It's very meaty indeed with plenty of "sweet breads" etc.. but it's a grand place for a good and different night out .
