Hidden Away Cave in Cannes

Off the busy beaten track but just away from Rue Antibes. Good value in both food and wine list. Excellent fresh fish catches everyday. Reservations a must. More traditional Cannes than the trendy Festival restos. Usually full with French residents. Wonderful family service. All in all a... read more

If you are looking for a genuine French cuisine to an affordable price with good service in Cannes, look no further. We have been in Cannes for several summers and tried a great deal of restuarants and this is certainly one of the better ones. Excellent food, knowledgeable sommeilier, and a friendly atomsphere. The cooking comes from the heart. I... More

Great french food and staff! Only "real" french dinner restaurant that I know of in Cannes. Confit canard and snails are always top!

On a small side street near the city's major sea side hotels, this small restaurant is a real treat. The diners seem a mix of tourists and locals. The friendly staff was patient with us. The menu, though not long, offered enough options for both fish and meat lovers. And most importantly, the food was excellent. Our choices were the... More

Real French rustic cuisine cooked to perferfection. Excellent (but expensive) wine chart. Top service. Cosy, with ambiance.

Pros: Imaginative regional food served in copious portions. Fresh ingredients, swift pleasant service. Very extensive if expensive wine list. Cons Place is small and fills quickly, tables are too close to each other. Reservations a must

Went there for dinner with friends. The food was very good, so was the wine. Nice atmosphere, but dogs are allowed, so you may find yourself eating next to one. It is a bit pricey for what it is.

This is a small brasserie just off the Rue D'Antibes. The long tables resemble a school refectory and there is very little space We visited in December and it opened at 1930 and was more or less full by 2000. It is very popular with locals. The waiters were very pleasant and worked very hard under difficult conditions. The fact... More

Atmospheric little brasserie 3 streets back from the seafront in Cannes, specialising in rich meat (veal, venison, duck, liver, sweetbreads) and locally caught seafood. Good for couples or large groups.

The best home-style cooked food I've had in France to date! If you want somewhere that's cozy and non-pretentious, la Cave is an absolute must!! My sister joined me for the weekend from the UK and we couldn't have chosen a better spot for French culture and delicious food.
